Hi all,
I want to start by apologizing to all my friends that I have not been online nor by my phone for the past week. (Or it feels that way so it seems.)
Life has a funny way of getting you sick, and miserable, giving you all sorts of ailments. My stomach for one and then there's my back. But aside from that there's also the text messages that I could not get back to. So all you wonderful lovely friends, I am so sorry.I've been in a lot of pain.
With that said, life also has a funny and quirky side. Which mentally shook me to the core. In a good way. But I still remain a realist. I have a hobby, and this hobby pertains to helping others (Yes, it's outside of the BDSM world) and it involves well, for lack of better terms, the paranormal. Before you get all thinking I'm crazy, let me explain. I do not , repeat, do not, run around looking for ghosts. I have built three teams that I have vetted in my thirty years of doing this (trained by my father actually) to be critical thinkers.
We use the scientific method as much as we can without holding doctorates. I know that sounds utterly ridiculous, but we try. To give you an example of how serious we are, I cannot discus some of the projects we are proceeding with because the groups I'm affiliated with are under an NDA. We have contacts all over the country working with us from NASA to the most prestigious colleges. With that said, my team was contacted this weekend, and I reluctantly answered because there was a two year old involved.
After initial interview the Grandmother friended me in FB and saw the book I've been working on and the latest (Just published about two hours prior) artwork from our illustrator. She wanted to know what it was about. Again, I reluctantly told her. We are in very uncharted territory with this type of genre and don't want the rug pulled out from under us.
Well, come to find out she's a screen writer, her cousin was on Second City TV, and she is reading our draft and loving the concept.
While I still can't walk today because of my back and the damn migraine, I'm feeling better about my writing for sure.
Moral of today's story I guess. Karma will come around. You just need patience. Also, Never expect the best. Always Brace for the worst, hope for the best.
