Life has a way of showing us how long the distance really is. How invested are you in the task or trip somehow determines how far you are willing to go.
Example: your favorite band is playing in the next state over from where you live. Are you willing to go the distance to see them.
You meet someone on the cage are you willing to go the distance it takes?
First off pretend that it's not online and you are standing right in front of them.
Can you go the distance to be completely honest with them. Because whether it's online or in person honesty speaks volumes.
Now once you have say established a hopefully honest conversation, time has passed and its now time for a face to face meeting.
Remember in person is that moment when past pictures of your younger self can't help you. Being 5' 5" instead of 6' 2" is going to be all to real.
Did you go the distance from the first Hi to the moment of here's Johnny.
In this lifestyle, in a relationship you must be more than willing to go the distance. Before you start any task, trip, future endeavors ask yourself are you willing to go the distance.
Long conversations about everything and I stress about everything. Appearance, body type, age, health issues, future plans, living location, bad habits ( smoking, drinking, gambling, drugs) finances and responsibilities for said bills.
Going the distance through illness, job loss, financial issues, lack of play time for multiple reasons.
I speak with my experience in this lifestyle, joined the cage in May 2019.
Met Hazel Eyes in June, long conversations about everything and I mean everything.
First face to face in July, we knew.
She lost her job in August, flew out over labor day weekend and drove through 6 states to get her to my house.
Got married in October 2019.
She lost her job while pregnant in July 2023.
Had our son in September 2023.
Going the distance isn't a short trip its a long, undetermined, full of surprises, hold my beer, did you see that, are we there yet, I have to pee, I'm hungry, stop kicking the seat, are we lost kind of trip.
Final thoughts: If you are here on this site then you are willingly looking for someone to have a dynamic with. It's not going to happen overnight. Finding that one special person takes time, transparency, and patience.
If you're new here my advice ask questions from the seasoned pros. They have years of experience and knowledge. Learning is a wonderful gift given by others.
To all of our wonderful cage family big hugs from Lion, Hazel and now little man.
Wishing everyone the best life has to offer.
