I took that the bdsm test again since I haven’t taken it in some time and so I’m going to give my commentary on each part for how accurate I think it is

== Results from bdsmtest.org ==
100% Brat
- yes 100% this is a no brained

100% Rope bunny

- I crave it and yet no one has tied me up in the way I so want it to happen
95% Submissive

- uh yep that tracks
93% Primal (Prey)

- is this similar to the pet stuff but more “primal”?; I think this one is cool cause it’s so raw and the idea of being hunted and caught is riveting
86% Pet

- i think it’s cool but still don’t always know if I’m doing it right? That sounds silly to say but it’s hard to learn more about this one without a trusted partner, when me and my partner were together though i really liked the release it gave me, just puppy no thoughts
81% Masochist

- literally no one spanks hard enough, wtf are these lil taps on my ass? Get into it or don’t do nothing at all
75% Degradee

- but like the sweet kind? The 75% makes sense because I like the blend of degradation and praise, ie. “is that my pretty little slut?, etc”
69% Experimentalist

- eh i suppose; I got the sex number on it so thats cool or whatever
41% Vanilla

- I swear they only say that bc I appreciate romance and don’t want to be a 24hr slave
38% Switch

- I disagree with this one bc I feel like the push for the switch is stemmed from bratting, like I may initiate and everything but in the end I want to be overpowered
38% Voyeur

-eh
34% Slave

- definitely not me
25% Boy/Girl

- thought it would be higher
24% Non-monogamist

- factual
21% Exhibitionist
- probably not, I’ve never given it much thought though, I’ve always wanted to do something sexual in public though(but without anyone knowing) like commando or butt plugs or maybe one of those remove vibrators

if you’ve taken the test before do you feel like your results were pretty accurate to yourself?

fluffypoppet(sub female){Protected} - I take it periodically. It is a good starting point I think.

Heero(dom male) - "literally no one spanks hard enough, wtf are these lil taps on my ass? Get into it or don’t do nothing at all"
This made me chuckle.

Broken Bonds(dom male) - All of these "personality" tests on the internet are fake. Yes there is an algorithm in place, yes sometimes parts of it make sense, but just like "which Lego Batman character are you" or "which integer value of this made up 4 letter string of alphabet soup do you belong in" the end results are always just broad enough in description to make people go "oh that's totally me!!" And they spread from there.

Sorry for the rant, that was basically my long winded way of saying, it's all bullshit. You are whatever you identify as at the end of the day. Don't let a multiple choice test dictate that for you. And I don't know about you but being Alex if pretty fucking cool to me.

Heero(dom male) - This is definitely not the same kind of test. Not all personality tests are created equal. And yes, I'd agree that any test that tries to find your place in some fictional universe is bullshit.

And OF COURSE you shouldn't use such things to dictate anything about your life or to tell you who you are. That would be a misuse. (Case in point, Alex was not using it that way either. She knew what was "definitely not [her]", and didn't let the test dictate or change her mind about that.)

I took the test, and I knew who I was for a long time with ultimate conviction. Figuring that out wasn't the point of me taking the test at all.

Finally, don't yuck someone's yum. If people want to take the test for funsies, let them. Of all the reasons I've seen dynamics fail, I've never once seen a failed dynamic attributed to the results of some online test such as this. There's no harm done, and potential utility.

xxxalexxx(sub female) - Lost me in your hater moment, gained me back by saying I’m cool, cause it’s true, I am AND I’m a sucker for a complement- seriously though, I agree that silly online tests shouldn’t dictate anything bc all they are are silly little test but I don’t see anything wrong with enjoying them for the fun of it, as long as you don’t put too much weight into the results

Heero(dom male) - Hahaha, lost you then gained you back?? The praise kink is strong with this one.

Anyway, the point of this test, as I see it, is more for others, not the person who takes the test. Let's be real, the actual numbers don't mean anything, perhaps besides some vague indication you're more likely into some things than others--which is a good thing for a suitor to know. And even if some things seem off, that's a point of conversation for you and a potential partner to get to know each other. "I don't agree with this score, but here's something about me that makes me assume why I got the high score..."

It's like with me and people who believe in astrology (which many people DO put weight on), I don't believe it, but I can use it in conversation to connect with them. Even if to jokingly bash it to get a laugh, if the conversation is going that way.

People be hating not realizing they're throwing away tools to communicate and connect with people. And again, even assuming there's no utility to you, why ruin the harness fun of others? People can bash you for anything: watching anime, liking superheroes, being into chess...seriously, what is the communal benefit of that?
