Asteria​(neither female) - Now, that's a little bit of a generalisation. Does everyone expects Dominants to be arrogant? Really? It is as true and correct as saying that _every_ Dominant expects a submissive to be in XS size, with supermodel body, long blonde hair and big breasts. I guess that's just a matter of taste. De gustibus non est disputandum, obviously. But saying that _everyone_ expects / needs or wants certain thing can't be true, at least for me.

Also, I accept my Dominant to dominate me, because I decided to submit to him. Any other Dominant here or elswere is just a regular person for me and the most important thing that matters for me is whether that person is polite towards me or not, and this is what defines how my interactions with that person are going to look like. One can try to be arrogant and to dominate me without being _my_ Dominant, but then should be prepared for really hard times and appropriate reaction.

Being a Dominant is not equal with being arrogant.

CapnRick​(dom male) - And on a very minor, but frequently misused word choice --- " Dominate" is what the Dom DOES, a verb, NOT who he is.... Who he is , is a "Dominant." The two are not the same/
Several posters here have used the correct words as gentle hints, so I'll just come out with it as a sort of "me, too" comment.
