What is your perception of the slaves state?
Is the slave weak and in need of constant guidance?
If the slave does not have a Master will it survive?
This slave is not weak, this slave is strong and can be most independent. This slave never knows when the Master will cast it away and then must be ready to care for itself. It needs life skills to survive and by caring for its Master learns those skills.
To be a slave you must endure many kinds of deprivation. When in service the slave must always give up independent thought and concede its will to the Master. The slaves needs are not important, its Masters needs are all that matter, they hold your key. The slave has to be strong and quick thinking because a good Master presents challenges, task to preform and rituals to learn. The slave learns self reliance.
Although this slave has never been cast away, it has had to live for a short period without Master and that is when what it had learned from service helped it survive
It became a Master of its fate. Strong, confident, independent!
Master had made it strong through training, confident that it could endure hardship and had learned to be careful to protect itself from being easily mislead or corrupted by those wanting to take advantage of the slave.
Do not feel sorry for a slave. It is owned by its own choice.
