What is beauty?
Is it visual,
Is it made,
Is it artificial.
For me beauty is around us,
Beauty is felt rather than observed,
Beauty comes from my heart,
It is a gift so preciously given,
So when I say you are a beautiful person,
It is so much more than skin deep,
I observe you as a person, a giver, a lover.
An print artist a very good friend asked me once to look at her prints, I was reticent. I am an honest person and if I did not like her work what would I do and say? I was honest, I judged her work and could interpret some of her work as being intensely personal - would I hang it on my wall - no, but I found out it was not intended for display - it was her release of intense feelings, her own personal counselling and by me being able to see what she meant by some of the images then it was justification for her prints. So I suppose what I am saying that when I give anyone a positive compliment it is me being honest and speaking from the heart.
