Thoughts of a new sub

Rants, discoveries and light bulb moments

Why do we have to have a title? I've been struggling a bit with which title fits. Am I a Domme? sub? slave? truly a switch or just use that so I don't have to make a decision? little because I have a playful side? I definitely have a kinky side and like the power exchange.

A few years ago I admitted to myself I have a kinky side and loved the idea of someone else taking control. I read a few books from the Gor series and came to the conclusion that I like the traditions and some of the protocols, but overall, not for me 100%.

I met someone who has helped a little by recommending some books to read.  They were good,  one of them was like "well no kidding" so I lost interest.

I'm not one for thinking inside the box,  I'm more of a why is there a box? Who the heck said we have to be in a specific category?

Which leads me to my next possible blog... how can we expect and accept the fact one person can meet all our needs?

XRaven(dom female) - The great thing about this lifestyle is that we're not boxed in; there isn't really a category in which one's kinks and proclivities truly belong. I'm not one for labels, but I do understand the need to have one associated with oneself. I have also noticed that the cage does not offer many labels that would be considered pertinent in this lifestyle. For example, the sexual orientation doesn't include Demisexual, Sapiosexual, Evolving, or just the plain ol' Not Sure. I suppose the 'other' in the Role category would suffice if you don't feel that your role isn't represented.

The only way to find someone who you will be a good fit with is through open, honest communication. There's always going to be negotiations in any relationship you embark in, but that's why communication is key.
