I think I begin to see the light a bit here.... you developed in the dynamic far beyond what he had, very naturally I might add. It takes somebody that possesses skills beyond my own to be in a vanilla dynamic, much less a D/s dynamic and not develop feelings. I hesitate to state this, and I pray that I am wrong, but could it be possible he sensed these feelings and connection from you, and has introduced this new person to kind of "let you know where he stands"? I think the time has come for a full on open and honest talk. Beware, it may cause the end of this dynamic, so consider carefully if you are able to deal with the consequences. Long term, you will find joy in a another dynamic, hopefully one that can and will commit to you as fully as you seem to want to commit to this one.

Kare, what I am hearing is that you may not be ready to let go. If he says no he doesn't want a relationship, it would likely impact your feelings and rightly so. Just remember that postponing the inevitable only keeps you away from your One. Who knows, he may say, my god woman, what took you so long? Then again, it could easily become, I enjoyed the time and I bid you goodbye. You have grown from the experience. You will always be grateful for that. Either way, you will either be free to openly love him or free to openly love someone. Right now, you are in an emotional prison of your own design. If you aren't ready to move toward a 24/7, enjoy your dynamic but allow yourself to release the feelings for him. Perhaps by branching out while still having your play time. Transparently of course. I do hope you find a way to free yourself. There is so much out there to experience with the right one.
