There isn't one. Until you meet a metaphorical bad egg who persists at messaging you consistently. Thats the only real benefit besides snubbing their nose with it.

I think some people get a sense of satisfaction at blocking others they don't like. A certain imagination of indignation the other person could be feeling.Or simply relief they won't have to hear from them in the inbox again.

People block for whatever reason they see fit.

I've been blocked by Doms for simply existing. I don't know if they did so because they are afraid of what I might say to them, or they think I am better than them and they don't want to admit it, or what.

Some s types have blocked me because of my view on brats. Other s types because of my viewpoint of the lifestyle. Still others because I had the audacity to send them a message.

All in all, that is fine. The block button is theirs to use as they see fit.

lol It is definitely always because they think you are better and don't want to admit it.
______

I love a good list so...

Not interested – No vibe, no reply.
- An organization system – Keep the clutter out.
- Emotional safety first – Protect your peace.
- Avoiding manipulation – Cut off the guilt loops.
- Clear, enforced boundaries – No loopholes.
- Digital consent withdrawal – “No” applies online too.
- Reputation management – Limit bad-faith interactions.
- Avoiding messy exits – Clean breaks beat drama.
- Time management- No bandwidth for chatter.

Does this help?

Just my .02:

I wouldn't even know how to know if I'm blocked and don't need to.

It is the old saw, "what other people think of me is none of my business." I say the things I say, I own the things I do and have done, for good or bad. I apologize when I am aware that I have done things that hurt others. If I can find them to apologize! lol

Should someone block me, it's OK. LIfe is FAR too short to spend energy worrying about why someone doesn't want me to know anything about them. It is also far too short to hold on to hurts that others have given my soul.

I can answer that for you (even tho you don't care, others may want to know).

If at the end of a blog/forum post, the heart is blacked out rather than white (I have my settings set to "dark mode"), you are blocked by that person.

If you go to a person's profile, it will tell you at the top of you are "blocked from contacting or commenting".

Blocking merely prevents both from messaging the other via DM or through the "Bond" feature, nor can either "like" the other's forum posts or blogs.

---but that's all. it will not stop a single soul from seeing all forum posts, and as I learned a while back, it won't stop anyone from reading any and all blogs, blocked or not.

If so inclined, one can read a blocker's blog to see how they tick, and even be entertained.
