Specificly to the trans ppl. As an individual of the gender youre born with, as having the intention of becoming post-op Trans, who pre-op has the right to be treated simply based on feelings compared to the general understanding of the rest of the world?
For example- a born male is mtf Trans, dresses like a female and expects everything a female has, but is pre-op
Would someone transitioning medically, hormones, and, all surgery mean, you think of them as a woman? Doubtful, I find it ironic that folks like you, who are against trans people, what your words indicate clearly that position (otherwise you would not have posted this), who have blocked all forms of healthcare for trans people, who have gone out of their way to try and outlaw the very existence of trans people (who have been around as long as people have been) would make this kind of statement. How do trans people do, what you feel makes them valid, with all avenues bar 'doing it yourself' which carries huge risks closed or closing?
Understanding evolves, progress happens, and the intolerance, and hatred being whipped up by conservative Christians, the politically conservatives, and right wingers as common sense is ignorant bullshit, as is your comment above. You have absolutely no right to question anyones belief about themself, and dismiss that as just feelings.
Gender and sexuality isn't binary, never has been, and its complicated, and not all trans people have the same needs, or requirements, particularly regarding what they need to feel whole. Not every trans person needs surgery, or even to take hormones, something increasingly impossible to do, with the hatred being piled on them, the ignorant hate based bullshit, the scape-goating, fear mongering. Its incredibly difficult trying to live as a trans woman, or trans man, in the world today, its not just about feelings, its about living a core identity, being real to one's self, being whole. How can you do that, with the media, politicians and ignorant, hateful people expressing, emboldened to show out right hatred. Is it any wonder so many trans people don't exist in public anymore, scared to do so. That so many end up killing themselves, or murdered. No one has a right to question peoples identity or dismiss it as just feelings, not reality, their in skin, in themselves identity.
I questioned my gender back in the early 80s, but with little choice, as information was hard to come by, I settled into what I was born as, no real choice, though if I was in my late teens now I would, despite the daily hatred, probably consider transitioning. Howver despite saying that, these days I am mostly comfortable in my own skin. I think this gives me some insight into this, as does the fact I have been romantically involved with two trans women, one just starting their transition, and one fully medically transitioned. Neither were any less women, and I have been around, romantically and sexually involved with enough CIS women in my life, plus knowing gay men, to know that their, all trans womens energy was/is 100% woman, regardless of their medical state, so not men (or in the case of trans men, women pretending to be male) pretending to be women BS, so nothing to do with the 'feelings' talking point TERFS, conservatives, religious people and right wingers use to dismiss trans people.
Your question is so full of ignorance/hate, though I know you won't see it, or want to see it. There is plenty of information out there, giving multiple trans experiences, information, medical opinions, you could learn from, without you posting your, I don't want to offend BS question/statement. I will tell you frankly its deeply offensive and ignorant, but considering your historical comments on this site, I am in no way surprised. No doubt some will jump to your defence, the right of free speach and why are you so upity regarding your reply, what about respect etc. Well considering the impact your kind of ignorance, and hate (manifesting as government policy, and societal opinion towards trans people, though mainly trans women) is having on trans people world wide, I feel fully justified in what I am writing here. I have seen the dirty looks, the hate, had to wipe away the tears, as a result of that. People thinking its ok to stop a car, wind a window down and scream your kind of ignorance, and hate at a lovely beautiful soul, just because they are obviously a trans women. The hatred in, 'you will never be a fucking women.' Well I can say 100% that person is a woman, no ifs and or buts and its got nothing to do with feelings, or medical status, it is who they are.
I am going to say this to all the trans haters on this site, of whom there are many, keep your hate and ignorance to yourselves, you have no right to pop on this forum with your just asking a question BS, no you are not, you know exactly what you are doing, saying, and the motivation behind why you are. I wish you would all evolve, and open your minds up, but nope, you are all destined to remain stuck, and ignorant, and hateful. The only plus, all of us who are not that way, now we can see you all for who you are.
Its this sort of thing, popping up in here, every so often, that makes this site a cold house for Queer people, LGBTQ+ people and particularly Trans women and men.
