Searching for eternity. (1)
Deep in the castle dungeon a coffin was layed inside, laying in it was the Vampire king, his dark eyes were opened wide
He rises from his slumber, he feels the call of the stormy night, he feels the pang of hunger, as a bat the king takes flight
Soaring high on slender wing, he searches for his prey, he must get fresh blood tonight, a poor victim he must slay
Then he spots a shepherd, watching over his precious sheep, but the hours must have caught up with him, he's laying fast asleep
The king lands so gently, he takes again his human form, he looks down at the shepherd, his face is lined and worn
But the king hasn't fed in days, the shepherds neck is so exposed, he sinks his teeth into a vein, his blood so fresh just flows
That was the last night, the shepherd tended his precious sheep, the king drank his life force, now he rests in a eternal sleep
That night the King fed well, but soon the time had come, he must go back to the castle, before the morning Sun
In the darkest dungeon, he stares into the dark, the walks are heavy with a ancient smell the stones are grey and stark
He remembers of a lifetime gone by, when music filled these halls, when love, warmth and laughter, permeated from the walls
That was before he was turned, the last day he saw the Sun, a vision of his one true love and his beloved son
Now he was on his own, an eternity spent as one, he decides he wants a Vampire Queen, so the search as just begun
