So many things have happened in the past couple of years. Some good and some not.
We have seen our ups and downs.
One thing I can tell you is that we are done with MN. and are winding things down here on the homestead as we get ready to sell this place and move to greener pastures.
It is time for us to move on with life. To find a place that has peace and is planted within nature and not uprooting it.
After a lot of talk and research, we believe that we have found that place to be in WV.
Where? We do not know as of yet. We are looking and have made some great connections out there already, even though we are 2 years out.
We have found that the homesteading community out there is way different than the one here in that they seem to genuinely help one another to not only survive, but to thrive.
Many of them have already given us information about where to look and how to find land that the average person wouldn't be able to search up on the web.
They have given us information about what works best where.
And they are getting us connected deeper into the community knowing that we want to work with the land and not against it. People that know just how to do that there.
It is a night and day difference from here in MN to WV as far as the homesteading community.
Also, it puts Hekate closer to her family back in MA. That in itself is a huge bonus. She will get to see them more often than not.
And do not even get me started on the scenery. I love the mountains. The Rockies are okay, but they, in my opinion, do not compare to the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains.
So once we wrap up all the details here in the next couple of years, we will be turning that page and moving on in life.
