The Phoenix - Eros' Rising

"Passion has overthrown tyrants and freed prisoners and slaves. Passion has brought justice where there was savagery. Passion has created freedom where there was nothing but fear. Passion has helped souls rise from the ashes of their horrible lives and build something better, stronger, more beautiful.”

The only thing that never changes is change. It is always present and undoubtedly effects us all. We can do 1 of 2 things with it. We can embrace it or resist it, but either way it is going to happen.

Sometimes change is planned. We initiate it and and have a vision of what it is that we are after and make the plan for the change that we are going after.

Sometimes change is unforeseen and unexpected. It can be painful and hurt. It could be the sudden loss of a job, friend, or a loved one. Throwing us into a tailspin of unknowing, grief, anger, and fear.

Sometimes it is beautiful and welcomed. It could be the meeting of an unexpected friend, promotion, or a new love interest. Creating unforeseen joy, happiness, and pleasure.

The 1 thing these situations all have in common is that they involve change. Known or unknown.

Remember that when 1 door closes, another opens. Will you resist the open door or will you embrace the change and walk through it into a new chapter of your lives?  A starting over point?

You never know when or what life will throw at you but, it will happen

As for me, I choose to embrace and see what the next chapter will be in my journey’s story.  Will you?

Wayward Mouse(sub female) - I’m actually better with change than I am with staying the same. I’m sure it’s left over from childhood trauma but chaos and stress is more comfortable for me. When things are going well I’m always waiting for it to fall apart. It has its advantages though. I’m good in an emergency. I can adapt easily and I can think things through quickly. Plus I’m not easily attached to things.

SweetSirRendering(sub female) - i used to feel like this! saying “everything has been great!” was like the kiss of death, an invitation for whatever previously unknown looming disaster to surface.
