A little excitement this morning

Helped police catch a homeless guy in my building this morning, probably just needing a warm place to sleep. I feel good about it - I mean I don’t even lock my door half the time and I have children. But also I wonder- what is the kids story? What brought him here and is he ok? Hmmmmmmm

K y i v - We will never know as he freezes in the cold night.

sarahrah - Hmmm so you would’ve let him stay? Actually all I did was text my landlady, I didn’t call police. And I did gently ask if he’s alright, he said yeah and went back sleeping. Well I heard the cops offering resources as well so hopefully something good can come of it. He became pretty agitated and didn’t want to give over his pocketknife, but just who knows.

I hope that you are never homeless and desperate to find somewhere to sleep out of the elements. Don’t backpedal and act as though you were kind, your post started out with an air of pride about what you did. He wasn’t bothering anyone and would have likely been gone early in the morning. You don’t lock your doors?? Then lock them. I hope he didn’t freeze to death or get the shit kicked out of him by the cops.
