When I discovered BDSM I was very fascinated by it. I wasn’t sure if I would be a dom, sub, or even a switch due to my personality. That can change of course.

I took an interest in the dom role, but there were some things that I didn’t like which were the pain, humiliating, and degrading factors. Being a gay male, those factors tend to be very common from what I see. That doesn’t reflect who I am as an individual, and I don’t want to put on a persona of any sort. I want to take a gentle approach while still being in control and guiding the other person and myself to be our best selves possible. Encouraging, understanding, growth, empathy, and trust from both sides. I don’t have much experience as it can be difficult to find potential people. But I hope to learn and develop into the soft dom that I want to be.

Broken Bonds - My friend, do not worry so much about titles and what type you fall under. At the end of the day BDSM is all about finding the right way to express who you are sexually. There are as many flavors of subs, Doms, and switches as there are ice creams in the world and there is a perfect taste for everyone on that spectrum.

Just be you.

MsDove(sub female){Eternal Pi} - Agreed. My Dominant and I are on the "softer" side. For me, his dominance is a force within him. That is what I respond to. Too many people confuse dominance with domineering.
