Tersely Pertinent

This blog is a place for me to post things to get them out of my head.

My writings give a hint of the way I view the lifestyle, both good and bad.

My projects give my hands something to do, when my writing fails me.

I find it so utterly hilarious to find myself blocked by someone for simply liking their profile.

Being a voyeur pervert, I liked reading people's profiles here and on Fet.  I find them windows into their world and why they find BDSM so captivating.   Sometimes it is humorous, other times it is heartbreaking.    Still other times, it is nothing but a void.

Those that I find interesting, I will like.    The profile tells me a story, good or bad.    I especially will like profiles that are well written.  To me, a like is simply a "Good job!" and I wish them well.

The chance I am going to write them a message is vanishing small.   While I have made some good friends across the world though the message system here, I don't go out of my way to message everyone.   If I do, it is to clarify something on their profile or checklist (I have a copy of the old Castle Realm checklist, which I use to test people.   You would be amazed on how well it works).

I understand women on here need a defense from unwelcome predators and don't get upset when they use it on me.    It is their right and there is a reason the function exists.   Nor do I suggest they should give me a chance.  As I said, the chance I am going to message is small.

But really?   Blocked after a simple like?     I didn't realize I was that scary.

MissBonnie(dom female){oz}Verified Account - Castle Realm was a good site.
Scary you? Nope!

DidiRN(sub female)Verified Account - You are not in the slightest bit scary. Quite the contrary, I have found a wonderful friend in you.

MountaintopMaster - There's always a chance that some little detail in your profile is totally against their way of life, especially when it comes to political or social stances on controversial issues. (I haven't looked at your profile, I'm just speaking hypothetically.)

I know that I'm blocked by at least a couple of folks who I had absolutely zero interaction with at all. I think what happened was, I posted something offensive on my blog here, and they saw it, vehemently disagreed with me, reported my blog post for TOS violation because I was being "hateful", ...and blocked me so that they don't have to deal with the possibility of ever having to converse with me.

Fair enough! Everyone is entitled to conserve their own emotional energy by blocking potential sources of frustration or tension.

Personally. I'm here for honest, open discussion. Even if I say that I unequivocally disagree with you, I'd still rather have a respectful, intelligent discussion about the subject, because that is how my ADHD / autism is wired.

Others, not so much.

To all: beware of building your own little echo chamber, under the pretense of protecting yourself from potential disagreement or other stressors. It's good to conserve your emotional energy, but it's very risky to shut out all other sources of input until you have nothing but a highly biased feed that never challenges you to question a status quo.

B L O N D I E(sub female) - What is the Castle Realm checklist? I would like to see it if you have it and are willing to share.

TopekaDom(dom male)Verified Account - Crap! Sorry everyone (Specially to bunnie!) I was going to comment about bunnie's post about Castle Realm checklist and I deleted her comment :(

Currently that checklist is in an Excel sheet. I need to covert it to a document and then will post it as a blog post. Is that acceptable to everyone?
