Awhile back, I teased you all with the workings on my latest toy project.
I finally got it all finished and thought I would see what you all thought of it!
One of my friends told me the floggers I was making were boring and needed to get a bit more creative. So I decided to see if I could work a bit combining my love for metal with the clear rod I could get to light up.
So the start of it all was the butt end where I cut a brass tube and capped it off with a copper cap:
Then tested out the LED to make sure it would fit:
I then added the acrylic rod and screwed it to the brass and added some bling:
(the black and red tape is some batwrap. It holds the copper cap on the brass)
Then added some bling and the handle ring to the copper:
When all that was said and done, I needed to make the topper which would hold the falls
But first, I decided the rod was too long and cut off about 2 inches
Then I cut more brass and two rings from a 1.5 inch copper connector
and screwed it on the top of the rod with some bling:
(also pictured is less complicated, plain wood handle. The next project)
Then came the falls:
72 Hours later, you have seen the final product
It feels really good in swinging it! I can't wait to give it a real test sometime!
