This is one of my favorite photos of my dad. He is 16 in this photo. He lied about his age so that he could get to fight in WWII. He had naturally curly coal black hair and brown eyes. And a receeding hairline even at 16. He was a coal miner when I was born but then got a job as a motor inspector in the Steel Mill. He was our handyman, auto mechanic, a singer, musician, and artist. And he reminded me of Roy Rogers.
