I do not need a light to see,
I enjoy the performance of the storm,
I do not need confirmation to know,
I don't need a smile to feel approved,
I do not need all the answers to my questions,
Without them, I still make it through,
I do not need to fake my words,
I do not need to deny my actions,
I do not seek the permission of the world,
My life does not revolve around its satisfaction,
I know that fear is a blindfold,
I know that thoughts are merely suggestions,
I know that people can be like mirrors,
In some way, their eyes are my reflection,
I see the beauty in every breath,
I feel the love in every moment,
I know when it's time to speak up,
I know when it's time to hold it,
I do not need a shelter to feel safe,
