Splashes of Sparkle

Sometimes people have good intentions even though their execution is crappy.  In this kinky world there are many activities that you might not personally enjoy or agree with. Good for you!

However, your kinks will not always match up with someone else. SO WHAT?

I recently had someone get mad at me because I participate and quite enjoy knife play. Yes it was a bit edgier and involved some cutting. (Tic tac toe has never been so fun!) They attempted to tell me that they don't believe I understand the risk involved.

"I don't approve of cutting. No way, no shape, no form."

Me: "good for you"

Them: "you need to stop it"

Me: "I was neither looking nor asking for your permission or approval."

It isn't for everyone. Yes there are dangers, but there are also dangers in breath play, rope play, impact, wax, fire...and those are to simply name a few. One big reason why I am careful who I participate in these activities with.

Its interesting the way our brains process things and the limits that we place. They may not make sense to everyone, but guess what?! They do not have to!

The whole situation just rubbed the wrong way. I'm sorry you don't enjoy the same things, but you won't steal my enjoyment, my surrender, my happy place....

Now, if you'd excuse me I would like to go back to dreaming about the next encounter with knives....💖💖

HGB(sub female){Scottish M} - So very true. Some don't see the dangers in many things yet yuck on things others enjoy. There are many things I'm interested in now I wasn't sure of before just because I saw a demo.

Satindragon{Not Lookin} - You are right there are risk involved in every thing we do. That is why it is so important to choose your partner wisely. Safety and trust go a long way.

Please play safe with sharp objects and always have a medical kit on hand.

Sensual City Girl{ForeverHIS} - Every play has its risks and dangers. So as long as you know them, it’s consensual, and you trust who you play with - have fun!! 😉

SchrodingersDinosaur(switch female){N/a} - While I agree that it's frustrating for the bitchee and absolutely agree that the bitcher in this case totally presented wrong ('i don't approve so you need to stop' WTF? Bad case of who the fuck do you think you are going on there, eh?) I'd present a little gentle pushback for consideration though... We really do a lot of kink activities that can be on the surface kinda messed up. Sometimes it's something we've thought through completely and it's just our 'thing', sounds like it's that way your knife fun is Sparkalina, but.... there are also times that those we care about in the Lifestyle haven't completely considered all the ramifications of that which they do, or get caught up in the excitement and rush, or sometimes are led into stepping past safe and sane by someone who doesn't have their best interest in mind. It's an awkward line to straddle, minding your own biz but being a real friend. I agree with the idea of your kink is yours but isn't there value in knowing your friends have your back? (As long as they don't come at you with the ridiculous you stop cuz I say so bs! Geez, Bitcher, ya chucklehead! Next time try 'hey, I love you and just worry about you!' prolly will work better AND is less likely to get you flamed in blog!) Just Henna's two cents, lovelies.

Princess Sparkalina(sub female) - I completely agree. Community is important to me. And my friends that have my back-and I have theirs. But in this case it was someone definitely doing it in an awkward way and overstepping boundaries.

SchrodingersDinosaur(switch female){N/a} - Sounds like it. Hopefully your Bitcher now gets it! Maybe it'll help them balance concern and overstepping themselves next time.🤞

Litlegrl(sub female){Dragon11} - Completely agree with what has been said. Just because your kink isn't something I'm into doesn't give me a right to say anything bad. I say BOO!! to the person who said you need to stop

Little momma(sub female) - This lifestyle is all about trust. We need to trust our Partner no matter what kinks we enjoy that They will keep us safe. Gotta love narrow minded individuals in this lifestyle. It's really too bad since we get narrow-mindedness from the vanilla world so often.
