TakenLower - When my mind is quiet something is wrong lol I never understood this either. I’m not in this to be soothed, I’m in it to be challenged to become better. Quiet is indicative of peace, placidity, stagnation. For me at least.

Satindragon{Not Lookin} - I don’t think it is unique to a woman. We just vocalize the need more. We all get wrapped up in the world we live in. Sometimes it’s hard to turn off that world and focus on one single thing. (ie, a Dominant) Therefore when we find someone who can help us slow the world of multi tasking they are helping us to quiet our minds.

That’s one reason I love rope. Don’t tie me to the chair and call yourself a rigger. Tie me in a harnesses. Make the tie last a long time. I don’t remember where I read it or who said it but I have adopted the term…Tie me up and set me free.

"why do you feel that way?" 😂😂 (Though I do agree with Satin... it's not unique to just women, but they just vocalize it more often.)

CrimsonRose - I'm not fond of the cold either, however, some of the most productive moments have happened while trying to stay warm. Quieting the mind for me is a true blessing that I choose, though ofttimes it seems I can't stop the thoughts without engaging my body in manual labor. As for Satin's tye me up, yes please, thank you very much! The rope all over my skin takes each of the other thoughts out of my mind. More rope = less thoughts.

CrimsonRose - Thrust away... I enjoy your out in nature pictures, it seems to me were I in such places I could easily drift into peaceful awe, and feel very small. Currently I must rely on my metal horse with no name as I'm surrounded by desert wishing I couldn't remember my name and all the other thoughts that are TNTC. I always enjoy your posts, thank you for them.

Invisible​(sub female) - Hi Jack, For me quieting my mind is necessary because I tend to over think most everything. I find peace in hiking - the forest asks nothing me - and in creating. Spinning wool into yarn is a meditation as the fiber slips through my fingers. Or I can go to my studio to cut one piece of glass and all of a sudden it's 3am.
And I'm just going to say it...
I love snow. ❄
