Accessional diary of a dyslexic dom.

Any old nonsence that comes into my head.

Recently I have noticed the term "newby" being used in a sense that is derogatory and bordering on abhorrence. I am alarmed by the possibility that this term might incapsulate me. In my defence I have not messaged anyone on the Cage (although I have left a few very timed likes on some profiles) but I have on other sites. If no one minds me asking, what exactly (in this context) is a newby and how does one become. . . Whatever the opposite of a newby is (an old wasp maybe) if one is not suppose to be a newby to start with? Is this a bit like being a freshman in American collages?

Little moon(sub female){Not lookin} - A newb or newbie is typically one with little or no experience/knowledge in a particular practice or area and is still learning the fundamentals or basics of things. ie starting from scratch. I myself am technically a newbie myself as I’ve never done any actual bdsm in practice but I personally make it a point to learn, research, ask etc about anything and everything I can for general safety as well as knowledge purposes. I love to learn and understand things and it increases the enjoyment of the experience immensely, it’s like preparing for it mentally and emotionally building or readying yourself for it.

Justme26 - I also understand that a lot of (lets face it, mostly dominant men) can be annoying, upsetting and even extremely dangerous. I am just a bit unhappy about the term newbie being used as a criticism.
