The definition says: having no real value or use.
Ok, I'd like to argue that this word should be removed from all languages. Why you ask?
Well let's start with the obvious, everything has a value or use.
People have value, oh but what about the comatose person laying in a hospital bed. Well there's the research going on to find out why, the test of brain responses, maybe new drugs that may revive or prevent a coma. So there's value in education and knowledge.
Let's talk about even shit, shit has great value, have you priced shit for fertilizer not cheap at all. So many uses for shit, growing plants, leaving on doorsteps ablaze, watching someone step in it, a very useful byproduct.
Thinking about the people in Texas during the winter blast, even something like trash to burn would have been useful and have value for those who possessed it. All things have a value or use depending upon the situation or circumstances.
So now I have this, why do we as humans think we're worthless? Ask yourself how many times did you think you were worthless or were told by someone you were worthless. Did you believe it, come to the conclusion that you were worthless, by what measures did you use to determine that you were worthless?
Did you take a poll of the population and determine it, is there a specific machine that can determine ones value and use. Nope, you listened to another human being estimate your value and use based on their own needs.
We all have value and use, may not be seen by particular individuals but can be seen by many people. So when someone says you're worthless reply back no I'm just more than you can afford.
I've had these thoughts in the past but I know what my value and use is, I have many skills and talents that determine how much I believe I'm worth and it's quite high. So I say, acknowledge your value, know your use and never let anyone try and talk you down lower than your own worth.
Remember even in death we are of value and use, our body used for another person in need of organs so they may have life or value of quality of life. If buried naturally, then we may fertilizer the ground in which life may grow and beauty of nature graces others after we are long gone.
