Could not agree more. I pity the narrow-minded as much as I despise them. Their lack of life experience, knowledge and social skills generally hold them back from a life that could be more richly lived. The Dunning-Kruger effect is real, unfortunately, so ignorance tends to breed a false certainty in those who don't know enough to know what they don't know.
It is also true that "Hurt people hurt people." I've never met a bigot who didn't secretly feel broken and inadequate in some way.
You have every right to be proud of exactly who you are. As proud as I am to call you and Djinni both dear friends for life.
