I rather enjoy letting the Dominant decide that because I learn things about them by what they decide to do and how it feels on my body.
I seem to mentally gauge their passions by the type and level of the impact and the instrument they use.

As the giver rather than the receiver, my most favorite is wielding two floggers at once, one in each hand. One is thin cowhide strips, nice and stingy, the other is heavier suede strips, more thuddy. Working up or down a back, swish swish, one after the other, maximum controlling fun for me, and a mix of sensations for subbie. If I have to chose one or the other, thuddy implements are my choice..
