Hello my beautiful lovely kink community! I have a non-kink question that maybe someone can answer or direct me to a place I can get more information from. So as you guys know I’m a subby. My Sir says I’m a brat also (I don’t see it I’m an angel... just ignore my blog post about causing trouble.... 🙄🙄😏), I identify as a more middle than a little, and I am primal prey for sure. Now the one I’m trying to reconnect with the most (and the part I was closest to before I found and accepted my subby side) was my witchy/pagan side. I would really love to reconnect to that. So I have a couple questions for any of my witchy sub (or Dom) sisters and brothers.

- I was really into the Tarot card readings but I never had a deck and I would love to get one. Should I pick one off online or find a store and go there and physically touch them until I find one that “speaks” to me? (You know what I mean)

- Crystals are also a big thing I liked to use. Should I go based on my birth crystals first or should I also take the time to go to a store or shop and find ones that connect to me.

- What types of spices and herbs should I have on standby or on hand at all times?

- Book recommendations on how to reconnect with your pagan side.
- Any tips, suggestions or anything please please message me or comment!!

I was in a coven at one time and I am a Native American Firekeeper who has also practiced wild medicine so this is what I can share.

Tarot cards can be bought online depending on what you would like to focus on. Cards do not have "life" untill they are in your hands. They are a blank slate and will come to learn you just as you learn them.

Stones, on the other hand, ARE alive because they are the children of Mother Earth, just as we all are. Similar to entering a Dynamic, you need to get to know them IN PERSON....sometimes you want a stone but it doesn't want you.

Sometimes, it can be a bit of brick that you need. Allow the stones to choose you and keep aware of stained that you encounter as you walk. Everything has a story to share

In the native American traditions, the big 4 were always on hand: sage, sweetgrass, tobacco, and cedar. There are others, depending on your needs.

For witchcraft, frankensence, myrr were my gotos....but you can burn whatever draws you.

Wayward Mouse(sub female) - Salt is also good to have around and rosemary and lavender. I agree with SBD 100% on the tarot. be conscience of it being tarot or oracle, both will do different things. You can't go wrong starting with the Rider Waite deck. it is considered the standard that all other decks are inspired by. I am a divination witch but I am not Wiccan or Pagan so I can't help you too much on those. But I can help with tarot, throwing bones, pendulum or anything like that and I come from a line of Seminole healers and Sicilian oracles so feel free to message me if I can help.

Wayward Mouse(sub female) - It's ok, you don't have to be anything or one thing your craft is your own unique journey. Explore what interests you and have fun. I good place to start with horoscopes is knowing your birth chart. a good free website to get a basic one is astro-charts. Don't let anyone talk you into spending a lot of money on stuff. Build up slowly and use from nature when you can. I find herbs from tea bags that are organic and cheap and work really well. you don't have to be fancy.

Bunnie - I don’t identify as a witch, but my sister and I always laughed that we’re lucky we live in this day and age because no doubt we would’ve been burned for our practices lol.

I have been doing tarot forever... it was taught to me that a tarot reader’s deck should be a gift that is given to them, however, I went into the shop and picked one that felt like the one for me, as a gift to myself. It was the most accurate deck I ever had.
I would suggest the same with crystals... go to a place that has them, look around and see which ones catch your eye and then ask to hold them. You will know instantly which ones you need. It’s ok to go slow, your collection will build and change constantly over time.
Grow your herbs! A herb garden is the most satisfying thing ever... not just to cook with or make teas or whatever other uses (I used to make my own skincare products)... it brings a plethora of beautiful critters to your home.
That’s where my knowledge ends... I don’t know about books or anything.
