To munch or not munch

Hello Indigo Fam,

We went to our first munch last night. Beast and I had so much fun together ❤. The atmosphere was very clickish and no one wanted to talk to us. In fact we had some harsh stares. It left a bad taste with me. Not sure if we will attend another one. I have posted this in several groups I am in on FB. Most are saying it's like vetting a Dom. There are alot of people pretending to be part of the lifestyle so unless you have already established a relationship most will be standoffish. Either way it goes Beast and I made the best of the situation and enjoyed each other's company. If anyone has any tips on navigating a munch for a newbie, it would be awesome. I am in Michigan so if anyone has any leads on a good friendly munch to attend pass the information please

Berlin(sub female){Collared} - Oh Indigo I'm sorry that you had that experience!! Try Fetlife in your area sometimes they have great events in your area like rope seminars, weekend parties, and individual groups! I hope you don't let it keep you and your Beast out of munching forever! ❤❤

Cant offer any advice in Michigan but sounds like you guys hit a bad apple bunch - my experience with munches has been great. Keep trying girl ⚘👍

Bunnie - I’m so disappointed you had such a crap experience, as like Jack, my experiences have all been positive too, with many different groups.

Are there other options around the area? Perhaps just try other groups until you find the one you both click with.

HGB(sub female){Scottish M} - With bunnie and Jack. Wonder if there more standoffish because of places opening back up from covid. Maybe you just happened upon the worst group in town. Try again, go simple. Always pay attention to the type of group. Some specialize in Dom support, sub support, littles lunch.

OraclePollon(sub female){NotYours} - Can you review them on fetlife? Not sure that ia a thing, but warning others away from uninviting people might actually save someone from abandoning BDSM in the future.
