This one is NOT about food

*Ahem* Okay, so let's all take a deep breath and a small moment. I made this blog with the intention of making a post. Instead of creating a blog about ME, I made it with the sole intention of telling people about a small victory I achieved in an average everyday life experience.

So I'm here once again to say "Let's get this RIGHT". If you couldn't tell I enjoy food, so there will be moments where I share a mistake I made in the kitchen or a success. But that's not all I'm about.

I'm not a social media guy, I got rid of Facebook, didn't want instagram, said screw it to snapchat, refused tik tok and don't get me started on dating apps.... But I wanted to reach out and create something for myself and those around me who might gain some knowledge or better themselves from an experience I've had. (Yes, I still plan on talking about food. Just not the whole time.)

So Round 2, FIGHT!!!!
4 years ago. May 8, 2020 at 8:41 PM

So I had a problem with my furnace not quite working over the last few days, and I tried a couple of YouTube hacks that didn't solve my problem. As soon as the technician shows up he tells me that my furnace has a fracture on the heat exchanger, which could have been potentially deadly to me.

As it stands I have shut everything off to the furnace and am waiting for my appointment to get a quote on buying a brand new furnace. He should be showing up in an hour, so I'm hoping the bill isn't insanely expensive.

Be safe everyone and maybe have your furnaces looked at, especially if you own a Carrier furnace. They are terribly designed and will fail in shorter timeframes than most other furnaces.

MstrJ(dom male){~ENM~} - Yeah you're telling me! I am just hoping this won't crush me, as I'm already in a pile of debt. But I'm certain it will work out, I just need to adjust the finances a little more.

TNS(dom male){TSS} - First of all I am very glad that you are OK that is a very serious problem. I understand carriers issues I know furnaces and a good friend of mine is an HVAC technician and him and I both agree on the buderus boilers they are a German company. They are a bit expensive how ever you will save money on your heating bill whether you run water or whatever Germans do their heating system is completely different than Americans it will save you a lot of money I saved $3000 one year on my heating by switching

TNS(dom male){TSS} - Do you know and another thing if it’s going to be an expensive purchase it might be worth it to spend an extra 50 bucks or so to have another technician come out and confirm the issue and make sure that the first guys not trying to scam you

MstrJ(dom male){~ENM~} - No the technician that came out did a phenomenal job and showed me exactly what was wrong, and I saw the fractures in my heat exchanger. So I am super thankful that I haven't gotten sick or been injured due to this and I'm not even certain how long the furnace has been unsafe.

Unfortunately though I can't apply for the loan so after going through all the work of figuring out the type of furnace I need and how much it's going to cost at the end I am just going to have to improve my finances so I can afford to replace this in August before it gets cold.
