Butt Plugs and Anal Play

GiyuuSimp(switch female) • Apr 29, 2024
Hello kinksters!

I wanted to ask a question to anyone who is experienced or just starting to experience anal play. I have been terrified yet intrigued with someone else or myself playing with my butt hole, but I wanted a step step tutorial from someone that has done anal play on themselves or someone else and especially on how to insert a butt plug properly without tearing issues. I know lube is a must! I know relaxing is a must. What else should a beginner know before inserting a butt plug? Thanks!

Start with a small plug, lots of lube, breath, holding it in is not a good idea, push out like you are emptying your bowels, fuck yourself with the plug attempt to go deeper, if there is pain stop relax breath some more, add more lube, repeat.
A nice warm enema can help relax the muscle and clean things out. Not everyone likes them though.

Good luck, and have fun.

I have 2 plugs. One is 4" long and the other is about 1.5 to 2"

I lube my Anus and the plug, then insert slowly.

Both plugs vibrate in a variety of ways. The small one is remote control. I tried it out with a friend from MN and I'm in Cleveland, OH. Both people must have the app open to work but I experienced a variety of vibrations. The stronger vibes were my favorite ones.

I have worn the larger one overnight, but when bleeding started, that's when I ordered the smaller one and I can wear it overnight without any trouble. I can also sit with the smaller one but can't with the larger one.

I didn't do any enemas beforehand, but I do have an enema bag and store bought enemas if I choose to use them.

I always clean my toys riggt away after each use.

Anal Play means more than butt plugs; it means a wide range of scenarios, from enemas to anal sex. But, of course, all it starts with... insertables.
As you mentioned before, a plenty of lube is mandatory. Unlike vagina, the anal hole has not it's natural lubrication system, so we have to compensate this. Speaking about lubricants, there are two major categories - water based and oil based lubricants. The difference between them, referring for the butthole, is that the water-based lubricants are more slippery but you have to oftenly make the refill cause it is quickly absorbed by the body; meanwhile the oil-based lubricants keep longer but are not so fluid. Another major difference between them is that the oil-based lubricants are not friendly with silicone and rubber, chemically interacting with those toys or condoms.
So, first you have to start with some dildos or butt plugs. Searching on sex shop websites you will find "anal training sets" of various sizes of dildos that are adviceable to start with. I don't recommend to start with glass or metal directly, but better with silicone ones. Wearing a butt plug is only up to you, even sleeping with it, but the regular practice is the key. Four of five training sessions a week of 45-60 minutes each will work best.
Regarding enema, I consider to be used rather as a healthy habit than a mandatory act before anal play; but it can be an usefull cleaning maneuver when working on fisting or ass gaping.
About anal sex, I approached it together with my wife only after few months of butt plugs training. Even now, after couple years of regular anal sex, we start with lot of lube, oil-based one for a good lubrication, then switching to water-based for slippery. At some point, after about 30-45 minutes of anal intercourse, our bodies (her arse and my cock) have absorbed enough lubricant that the job works by itself, without needing further lubrication. Even now, if there are more than 10 or 14 days of no anal sex, the next intercourse starts a little difficult, here meaning that the exercise is really important at any stage of experience.

IMHO
I think it is best to not start with a plug. Get use to having something being inserted.
Maybe start with a small dildo. Depending on how small you are the smaller the better.
At this point you will be thinking two things. I wish I had gone smaller or I wish I had gone bigger.
They are both good wishes but play it safe. You can always work your way up to a wearable plug.

Everyone says lube is important and it is. Where you lube is just as important. Invest in an implement that will allow you to insert lube.
Take your time, get use to it and have fun.

As Aiden Starr would say "It's Anal-clock!!" This is one of my favorite types of play! Anal play can be quite pleasurable, butt if not done properly you can be injured. IMO the best way is to just start with a finger. If you have a kink that involves medical play or gloves this can really add to the excitement. You can either ask your partner to finger your ass OR if you have long arms you can do it yourself. Now, if you are like me and blessed with t-rex sized arms you can use toys. I would suggest starting with a very small/thin dildo. The problem I've seen with beginners and butt plugs are that they panic with snapback butt plugs (T shaped butt plugs) when it comes to getting them out. Sometimes they can be difficult to get out if you haven't added lube in awhile, didn't add enough lube, you're not relaxed, or something else. There are curved (J shaped plugs) that are pretty awesome and great for long-term wear training (for future reference). Those would probably be the only butt plugs I would recommend to a beginner. They're not snap back and pretty easy to use.

XR University has some great episodes explaining more in depth about anal. Aiden Starr and Ian Rath are actors in the porn industry with some great advice/knowledge.

It's kinda funny how many cultures attach an "ick" factor to the but. i heard a funny joke once: "if God had intended us to have sex, He'd have given us an asshole." The reality is, all of our sex organs have another function of eliminating 'waste' from the body. Urine from the penis, stool from the anus/rectum, blood and sloughing uterus from the vagina.

If one considers what comes out of the rectum, especially when we eat a healthy diet high in fiber, it's often as big or bigger than butt plugs... especially the little starter ones. The anus is very flexible and does a really good job opening and closing, and the rectum that holds most of a butt plug is much more open and relaxed than the anal sphincter. There is lubricant involved, the rectum has mucous producing components, but that facilitates exit, not entrance. Some people produce more rectal mucous than others and claim to be 'self lubricating." Even with that, no on is self lubricated on the outside lol. The lube part really helps the anal sphincter that's dry and tight, outside going in. The challenge is not just stretch, but tear from pulling against dry skin. The anus routinely endures stretch and friction though from what comes out. Lots of good info already that addresses that stuff.

Over time? To me, one of the kink factors is the connection between Top/bottom, D/s. The anus lends itself to molding. i'm a total bottom gay guy and some Tops/Doms have purposely molded my anus over time from a pucker to a slash. Over time and in Their care and design, what i have looks more like a pussy than a pucker. That's both visual and structural, because my anus is now more receptive than retentive. It's also a deeply bonding process and result.

To me, and some others, plugs/dildos, can be part of that molding process. To me, trying to make them independent, or 'just physical' leaves some of the most bonding components out. Also, i think "process" is a big factor. The 'insta dom/sub' attitude of just wanting to get in or be instantly open, leaves out so much of the deep connecting/molding process. To me, that treats the D/s dynamic like drive through fast food instead of the feast it can be.

Truncated big time to the best part....

At least all know that T Rex never played with himself.

-----------------------------

and @tallslenderdude: I have written before but some might not have seen... when I was active I was super into taking it in the ass....

Butt all that aside, that whole post, though undoubtably very useful and informative raises up the icky icks for me. Some things are just best left uncontemplated... like many a grandma or, by now, great grandma said, "You do not want to know or see how sausage is made"

or the old time true hot dogs.. meat scraps... "Lips and Assholes"

(also of note the same great grandma who would admonish kids to not sit on concrete: "You'll get Piles!" or "Don't cross your eyes, they'll one day stay that way" and "If you play with yourself, Johnny, you'll get a lot of pimples.')

I digress, as usual.... More germane to the topic, before I went home with someone, or less often took them home and before we "got busy" I was sure to do a thorough cleansing enema because there's nothing you want on the fudgsicle stick aside from real fudge (on a real stick of course) or more apt, I didn't want to screw the guy back, in a manner of speaking, by sticking him with the door prize.

But all in all, as with all you wrote about shit is the nastiest. Second is the monthly discharge (which I never dealt with / life-long amenorrhea-- "defective plumbing"-- also resulting in no chances of buns in my oven) least icky of all: pee... especially after the guy drank a lot of water or a few beers because beer contains Vitamin P-- I'd drink it, right out of the "tap" even--- as part of getting off being humiliated.... in the old days of course.

However what bears the most mention is while the ass is "pliable" it is still not "designed" for penetration of something thick and unyielding. (nothing short of a full-blown hard on will make it up there without bending or sliding out) so over time and frequent... "traffic" the butt hole loses that pliability in that eventually incontinence can result. Past a certain age and with too much pounding the pie-hole you end up shitting in your pants when you laugh. Not a happy prospect if you're on a bus, train or worst of all on an airliner.

So I pulled the plug on butt play which happened to coincide with my decision to focus on and restoring my innocence and purity a.k.a celibacy.. wearing fuzzy sweaters and onesie PJs..

I'll qualify to join the nuns maybe one day.

-----------------------------

So in the beginning, lots of lubrication and start small. Pliable or not, it does not stretch like some funky-ass Stretch Armstrong. It takes time.

and should go without saying... ONLY use toys and implements designed to go there. Must have a base wider than the widest yawning butthole. Using a substitute not meant for that... risks big trouble. Once something too-small of base gets sucked up there, you won't likely be able to shit it out and then you'll be in for a very embarrassing E R visit ... Oh the docs and shit will be all polite and professional but once your ass is cleared and you're gone, or they're back in the lounge you can bet that same ass they'll be laughing up their sleeves at "My last patient, the (guy or gal) had a Sharpie up (his or her) ass!"

Nothing is really supposed to go in through the "out" door, I'm afraid.

Patience patience oh and patience!
It’s designed as an exit so please ensure you are clean as possible ! Yes there may “residuals” lurking but if that occurs just laugh it off! Humour goes a long way to helping avoid embarrassment! Things happen get over it! Wet wipes deal with it quickly and have a nappy sack ready for disposal !
But on saying all of that the anus has three chambers the last one is pretty clear after a good evacuation earlier In the day.
As everyone has already said lots n lots of lube, remember Anal foreplay is just as important in relaxing and preparing as any other part of of the body ! Touching it kissing it and fingering it all help arousal and entry, after all you wouldn’t try and drive your car into the garage with the door closed!!

Have them douche before in the bathroom and take a shower hour before play. Some that do not understand get mad at sub if they some stuff come out but its the Dom responsibility to take action not get mad over milk this was experiencing something to grow from. Good Dom will understand put a towelette underneath or shower curtain even if does happen even if they clean the area before. Not saying anyone is wrong but good to know the these things. Romance should be also first with passion not just jumping in the sack. Have nice conversation some wine with dim lights whisperer in each other ear and touch softly on hair and ear with lips get them aroused in the moment. I will tease you and please you keep you as a treasure you are mine.

Ginger root gel , small ginger root stuck in feel the spice , massage the area and butt to relax , play some nice music , dim the nights. Get the butt aroused needs to be passionately played with slowly with small to medium to big , spank the bare butt with nice fiber glass paddle get more excited little red. Gag , blind fold breath hood they still breathe and see a bit and the gag is squishy but still talk , and soft cuffs. Play out nice even with a nice feather and tease the body and tickle. Clamps that are raised with string on nipples the bottom area kitty. Suction cup with sqwewers ends you will feel a pinch. Whip with electric spank you will feel it. in the end Electro anal plug you will feel the power of the ass light up. Voltage might just what they need to twitch. After care is needed with cream and green after sun cream to relieve the body and flowing clean clothes and help in the bath or shower give them a robe and brush their hair softy. Ask them how do they feel like , anything we could change make them feel relaxed , take mas-sager and massage the body and brush them up clean. Hug them tell them you appreciate the time you had with them.

Dominance to have vision to lead the way to show and tame the sub but also co help them the sub will walk with them if both respected both ways. Agree on things with your sub find what they like don't like test it first light then bit hard never force but over time with trust could be played with force but have safe word. Make sure you can see their face and be able to talk to you in play. Use imagination with your sub allow them to have imagination its the key to everything.
