Thoughts on the new Seeking feature?

I'm not sure that it does much good because you can only view a limited amount of profiles before they disappear when more are added as "the newest" ones. You are then directed to the Find Friends section anyway. So why not just go there in the first place? And if you aren't watching the seekers multiple times during the day, you will probably miss some potential compatible future mates because they disappear from view.

Also I don't think there is a way to search Seekers for the type/gender, etc that you are looking for. You have to scroll through everyone which may be why the list is short. Just a taste of who is seeking.

At the end of the day, it seems like just another duplicate category that takes up a person's time to search through. Sorry to be the poo pooer here. I don't think it's that helpful, so I don't think I'll be using it very much.

I like that in the search section, you can choose to search for people who are actively seeking… versus the people that search for “submissive women in XYZ” and then I get messages from randoms Who don’t bother to read my profile where I say I am NOT looking.

I think it’s great. I think this was a very smart solution, big kudos for The Cage staff for this feature (former PM, so intend to think of things from a software dev perspective. Seriously, great fucking solution).

I feel much as you do chattel I prefer the personals better to me there were more people who were seeking connections and could be more pacific about what they were looking for.

I understand the reason for discontinuing the personals, the legal issues can get expensive. Sad!
Two things in my opinion would make things better,
1 - categorize males from females
2 - rather than show the date that the person joined, show when they were last logged on .

I just wanted to step in here and point out that in addition to the new Seeking list (which shows those who have most recently indicated they are seeking), we've added 'Seeking' as a new filter in 'Find Friends'. So if you want to look for people who are 'Seeking' and also by other parameters (location, gender, D/s orientation, etc.), you can do it there. You can also sort your results by "newest', 'nearest', and 'recently visited'.

So although the Seeking list isn't categorized like the Personals (doms looking for subs, etc.), you can now filter your search in a way you never could in Personals. Just make sure to check the 'Seeking' box in 'Find Friends' if you are looking for others who are seeking.

I think it's an improvement on Personals. I felt Personals, especially Dominant male seeking submissive female, dealt with so much over saturation: the moment you published or bumped your post it was swamped under a dozen more, and while you can sorta get around it by embedding the ad to your profile, it would not show where the ad originally was, leading to confusion in my inbox as to whom an ad was addressing.

Seeking improves those issues, makes clear what profiles are seeking, and makes seeking profiles searchable by adding a filter to only show profiles marked with seeking.

I would like more characters though, as sometimes you're not seeking just one type of dynamic and there may be some stipulations depending on who wants what or to go even further with filtering types of connections

@Nitrev thanks for your feedback. We looked at the character limit and agreed it could be expanded so we have increased it.

Think if maybe the names would have to be anonymous but have a picture that is slightly mysterious they have a message that is kind of private mysterious until the trust is earned then can be unlocked to know who both people are. Like a private auction date where you stay here but have your pick of a virtual place , or cam date in mature classy matter it would be free but both would have to try at least even if you stay as friends or you click make it happen.I might be giving to many ideas but I seen this worked out tho bit of magic.
