Hi Evangeline

Firstly I love this site so thank you for all the hard work you and tour team do.

I am rather concerned however that the blogs are open to the public and you don’t have to sign in to read them.

You have put warnings up stating that no one under the age of 18 is allowed to enter, however anyone of any age is able to read the blogs.

There is one member who is constantly posting graphic images and gifs which is pretty much porn - don’t get me wrong I absolutely love these however if a curious child accidentally stumbled upon them, it could be quite disturbing and damaging. This could also result in consequences for this site I.e child shows mum, mum takes it to the authorities etc.

Many thanks for reading this and I hope for the sake of this wonderful site, you are able to make everything members only. And sure, anyone of any age could lie and say they are over 18 however this would just protect the site more.

Already that has been done. Go to "Settings" under "My Blog" and there is a box to check to make your blog available to only registered users.

I didn’t mean that - I meant that even if you are not a member, blogs are open to the public... you do not have to sign in to read them...

You are not paying attention to what I am saying. I gave steps as to how someone could set their blog to require sign in. The feature you asked for already exists.

I know but some users do not set this and therefore anyone can read them. When you enter the cage website and it comes up with the login page, blogs are visible. I’m merely suggesting that there shouldn’t be an option for public or private blogs and they should all be private to registered users only and only visible when a member logs in

Its up to the parents to set up an internet filter into their house. And to be honest you have to be specific into your search to find this website.
But you mention certain blogs and I rather they dont actually post porn stuff, its not the kind of site I associate with porn. There are plenty of it on the web so I really dont understand why some think its tastefull or necessary to post them in blogs or put them in their profile.

@ Jaime thank you for your feedback and your concern. We share it and work hard to make sure the site is adult only. When someone visits the site for the first time they are given a warning that they must be over 18 to be here and they must then click 'ok' to proceed. I appreciate that is not a completely perfect system but we think it's the right balance between being open and inviting and encouraging an adult only environment.

Another point on this topic - although we often look the other way with the odd photo or gif or bit of music, we do have rules about copyright and ownership:

Depending where you live there are various rules about consent and age verification of porn performers. We don't really want to see people posting porn that they don't have the rights to or can't provide written proof the performers consent and are over 18. It might seem sticky but this is the sort of stuff that can get people in to difficulties and no one wants that. If you have anything like that in your blogs it's best to remove it. If we see it you will likely get a message about it.

Others have suggested using tags for blogs. I wonder if a line with 3 counters after the titles might be possible:

X , Y , Z showing # of images, # of links, # of words in blog post. Easy automated script instead user applied tags, and that way the reader can get a sense of the content before reading.
