Was wondering for those into ferich wear or collar and leash play what type of collar do you prefer if you have a preference? Solid steel, steel links, leather and steel hybrid, studded leather, all leather, or something else. In a conversation with a Domme this came up and we both seemed to think a steel ring attached to it was needed in any case but the type of collar has advantages and disadvantages to each

I love metal/steel for every day use/wear. But during play I've found that, even accidentally it can hurt someone. So I prefer something like leather.

I find a leather and steel hybrid is best. You want something that's comfortable but also strong enough for when the leash is pulled.
There's lots of cheap collars that break to easily. A collar that can be worn long term is always best.

For leashes I’d prefer leather since it’s more comfortable. For my day collar I have an eternity collar (metal/steel). It does have a ring that can attach and detach so I can still put a leash on it if I’d like.

It all depends on the s type and the dynamic.

I agree a steel ring is always best and it looks so good around a sweet neck. I prefer leather on women as it never chaffs or leaves marks. As for studs or other ornaments that is more of what you or your Dom/Domme taste. I like to have dog tags on here in case she gets lost. This lets other Doms know who is in charge of her and to keep their hands off.

When this subboi's last master collared him, it was during a lovely ceremony at one of the old Bondage Club on the Westside of NYC. (back in 2009)
This one was quite surprised at what Master had done. He had a full custom fitted slave set made out of stainless steel for his slaveboi.
A Collar Ring plus Wrist & Ankle bands and a chastity cage. All able to lock on permanently.
Unfortunately, this one only got to wear the set when not at work, so never had the option to go permanent.

Master passed away in 2014, but this one still has the set (packed away carefully) and has worn a cage faithfully in His honor ever since.
