I am dominant. That means I like submissiveness.  I like naturally submissive. So many guys with profiles that say they are "switches" or dominant guys, email me claiming to be submissive. I understand that you want to be under my ass but a guy that is pretending or confused is not going to be able to handle my requirements or work long term.

that makes sense, and it hits home for people like me. i didn't understand my submissiveness 20 years ago, and decided to be a dominant and not recognize my true form first, in result, i failed horribly. in conclusion, i became a slave as i never wanted to be in control again. Alot of people are attracted to BDSM for sexual pleasure, this is an issue if it is solely that reason, because they do not know who they are in BDSM, all they seek is a 'quick fix' to a 'bad day'. Some people, like most of the people on this site, are very down to earth, moralized, and understand exactly what BDSM is. i am new here, i have everything to learn, even though i've been mainly self practicing for more than 20 years, i believe there is a light in the darkness, and if we don't give up hope and we keep learning and evolving as a BDSM culture, we'll be more resiliant to detecting such people, then assessing them, and deciding if we want to open their heart, mind, and spirit to what is really inside them. when people turn to kink, even just for sexual reasons, there is something more inside, yet it may not become part of them until they accept that collar, but more than that, fuse it into their soul.

Mostly I think it is deceit. Those "Doms" who contact you seeking submission to you are just looking to get their rocks off. They have no real interest in being submissive, but think you are a kink dispenser.

Most don't understand the term "Femdom" in a profile. In short those that practice Femdom, it implies men only have ONE role that of slave/submissive/bottom. Maledom and lesdom etc are the same, the roles are NOT fluid they are set. The person is stating what they require by using the term. They (maledon Femdom etc) are subsets of BDSM. BDSM is the Term of us ALL. . Most interchange the words and that's fine some times but often people waste time contacting someone because they don't read a profile. It's why terminology was invented to save us all time. It seems as t got easier for us all to find eachother it also got harder LOL

No one is saying a switch needs to pick a side (or at least I'm not. Switching is a thing). It is perfectly ok to want both sides of the whip. I just wish they understood whom they are contacting.

I have accepted that I am submissive, and ready to roll over and kneel before the one who will accept me as such. That is a powerful and somehow comforting feeling. I could never "Switch" or be dominant. At least, not comfortably.

Of course, if I ever seriously dated someone who was "Vanilla" then I recognize I might have to be dominant, or at least, not submissive, in order to be compatible with her romantically, but it's not really my true sexual nature. It would be an adjustment.

Also, some people, I think, mean different things by "Dominant." The non-sexual aspects of the relationship can be hard for people who expect it to be pure kink based, and some people are looking for more of a 24/7, servant or true slave (in the classical sense) type arrangement which not every self-described submissive is ready or willing for.
