What do you love about impact play?

Just like the question asks, what exactly do you enjoy about impact play whether you're on the Top side or Bottoming side? For me personally, as a Sadist, I absolutely thrive in a scene where I'm dishing out hard blows and yet my Bottom still smiles and laughs with me, wanting more and more. The aftermath shown on their bodies is the cherry on top.

I'm kinda the opposite. I love to hear the bottom yelp in pain, squirm, and shudder in anticipation of the next blow. I haven't yet had a partner who'd go so far as to cry, but man that'd be hot. I want them to beg me to stop (without using the safe word) so I can say "no", call me a cruel bastard, and ultimately collapse into a puddle. Optimal state for cuddling and affirmation if you ask me.

For me it is a combination of different things. The slight hesitation before she lays across my knees, the almost ceremonial flip of the skirt to reveal a flawless unblemished firm ass, the gentle caressing of that ass to build anticipation, the sound of flesh meeting flesh as my hand lands the first blow and the many that follow, the sound of gasps and moans as the spanking continues, the struggling and fighting on my lap to avoid my hand as the burn sets in, the scent of her arousal filling my nostrils, how the tone of her gasps and moans changes as my other hand finds her neck, the way she stands before me pouting as she rubs her reddened cheeks, when ordered to strip she does so in great haste, standing before me nude she doesn’t attempt to hide herself but stands proudly lust burning in her eyes, when ordered to an apparatus she moves quickly her glowing crimson cheeks displaying my handy work.
