Disabling Blog Comments

I was looking around different preference settings, but wasn't able to find anything. Is there a way to disable comments on a blog post? Not by a specific user, but in general?

It would be a great feature, but they might take some time to implement it. For now, the best way to deal with comments is to delete them. Just be wary what you share of real share very little but people wanna know you they need to earn that respect but it still takes time. If anyone giving you any problems, report them. Overall, people are pretty nice in blog comments, and I haven’t seen anything too bad.

Appreciate your response. I am not concerned about the content I’m sharing or about anyone being problematic. I’ve been blogging for a long time and like yourself haven’t run into anything bad.
Sometimes a blog post is more of a reflective piece that you want to share outward but not seeking input. You’re processing thoughts and just want to put it out in the aether and allow others an opportunity for quiet reflection as well.

Exactly what was said 2 posts up. It would take them a while to work a "comments off" option into the platform, that is if they even want to.

----------

I asked them several years ago about the ability to log in to merely check DMs (messaging or Bond) and these forums, of course, to see what's going on and if I can contribute in a meaningful way (regarding the Forum boards) --- without being visible. "stealth mode" if you will. Nothing ever came of that so I reduced my "visits" to the site as, at that time, I would be logged in less than five seconds and wouldn't you know, insta-doms and horn dogs swooped down out of thin air, blowing my Inbox and Bond to bits.

I still do not know how they saw I was online the second I logged in. I don't see who is Online unless I click that tab and search and that takes a hell of a lot more than five seconds.

----------

Fortunately that happy horseshit has dwindled to less than a trickle.

They can't miss the "Not Looking" disclaimer at the very top of my profile page.

The point to all my blah-blah-blah above is if you want a blog with personal thoughts and experiences not intended to be commented on, you might need to think outside the... cage.
