Hello, dear reader! I hope you had a safe and pleasant New Years Eve! I know parties aren’t supposed to be common, but did you do anything fun?
With me getting Covid on Christmas, my night included Netflix, vodka, coughing, and lot of hope for what is to come.
I was supposed to go to an escape room with some friends, but obviously not an option now. But it’s part of life. I would have loved to do the escape room though. I’ve wanted to do that for a while. Maybe soon?
As I said, I have the Rona. Luckily it has t hit me hard yet, and hopefully it won’t. I’m dealing with the headaches, the loss of taste and smell, a cough, and tightness in the chest. Like I said, mostly mild. But it sucks. I’d rather be out enjoying the holidays.
Oh well. Do you have any resolutions for the new year? I don’t have traditional ones, as they are hard to keep. Lose 50 pounds! Read 20 books! Too easy to break. You fail at 19 books and 49 pounds, even if you tried your hardest. Instead, I have a different system.
I want to lose weight. That’s it. I’m not worried about specific numbers and pounds. If I lose 10 pounds, great. If I lose 30, wonderful. If I lose 1, it’s a win. I want to start 2022 lighter than I started 2021. That’s doable.
I also want to get back into writing. I have had several stories I wanted to tell for years. And I know it would help with my normal geeky things. I’m the DM for my friends and our D&D group. So I have to write the stories, create the world, and make something memorable for them to experience.
I don’t have much else to say today, so I will just say that I hope everyone finds love, happiness, money, and tacos in 2021.
Stay safe. Stay sane, stay smiling!
