She sits at the bar thinking back on the time shes spent away. 2 weeks on the road going across the country. She left her home 2 weeks ago and just drove, not knowing where she would land. So many places but still something was missing...
She plays with the rim of her glass fingertips lightly touching it. She drifts away again thinking of him. The stranger she saw on the road. At first he was just some random man she thought was handsom and felt a pull to, that was when she first filled up the car back in California. Many miles later she stopped in her first town somewhere in Nevada. She needed sleep, the next day she got up and started out again. She stopped to grab a quick bite and she swore she saw him again. It couldn't be him there was no way, but this time she felt a connection to him. She stared longer memorized his features, when he glanced at her and smiled everything inside her ignited.
Many other times along her adventure she thought she had seen him again but brushed it off as thinking about him being the reason she kept seeing him. She felt the electric charge a few times during her trip and would look to see if he was there but she never saw him.
The bartender tapped her hand and startled her, she looked up at him and apologized. They shared a few words and laughed about her day dreaming in a bar where there was so much noise. She turned around hopped off the stool and headed to the bathroom. As she was walking she felt it again. Her whole body tingling, she looked around for him but there were to many people.
She felt a light brush on her back and turned to see him walking away. No freaking way she thought. She followed him out the door but he moved to fast she lost him somewhere. She looked up the street and down but no one was there. She started to shiver as the cold eastern air blew against her. She let out a sigh, turned and started to walk back inside before she reached the door she felt arms wrap around her. One across her body covering her mouth the other around her arms and waist to hold her close. The fear and panic melded with the tingling sensation she was feeling. She tried to break free to scream but who ever had her was to strong. She could only think how stupid she was to follow a shadow out the door all alone, for God sake she grew up in LA you dont ever go anywhere alone or at least you have your pepper spray. She heard a low growl in her ear and her whole body froze....
