The Phoenix - Eros' Rising

"Passion has overthrown tyrants and freed prisoners and slaves. Passion has brought justice where there was savagery. Passion has created freedom where there was nothing but fear. Passion has helped souls rise from the ashes of their horrible lives and build something better, stronger, more beautiful.”

So many things have happened in the past couple of years.  Some good and some not.

We have seen our ups and downs.

One thing I can tell you is that we are done with MN. and are winding things down here on the homestead as we get ready to sell this place and move to greener pastures.

It is time for us to move on with life.  To find a place that has peace and is planted within nature and not uprooting it.

After a lot of talk and research, we believe that we have found that place to be in WV.

Where?  We do not know as of yet.  We are looking and have made some great connections out there already, even though we are 2 years out.

We have found that the homesteading community out there is way different than the one here in that they seem to genuinely help one another to not only survive, but to thrive.

Many of them have already given us information about where to look and how to find land that the average person wouldn't be able to search up on the web.

They have given us information about what works best where.

And they are getting us connected deeper into the community knowing that we want to work with the land and not against it.  People that know just how to do that there.

It is a night and day difference from here in MN to WV as far as the homesteading community.

Also, it puts Hekate closer to her family back in MA.  That in itself is a huge bonus.  She will get to see them more often than not.

And do not even get me started on the scenery.  I love the mountains.  The Rockies are okay, but they, in my opinion, do not compare to the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains.

So once we wrap up all the details here in the next couple of years, we will be turning that page and moving on in life.

Hello all.  Just want to say, I am back

People have asked me why I live where I do.

There are many reasons.

I love the country life.

I love the seasons.

I love all the beautiful things that I get to see here in the frozen tundra.

Tonight is just one of those beautiful things I get to see from my front porch.

Life is beautiful here in the Northland.

"We hail the Goddess of spring, of vibrancy, of stirring bounty, of the waking earth, that readies itself for the seed. We hail the Goddess of sunshine... We pray for fertility in our works, of minds, and hearts, and hands. We hail the Goddess of spring, as Her bounty covers the land. Eostre, be Thou praised.”

Have a Blessed Ostara

It is that time of year where the frozen tundra we call home has started to thaw.

After being ill the last few days with whatever is making its rounds, it is time to start doing the prep work for the summer season. It is going to be a busy one.

We have 15 chicks in the in-house brooder that are getting ready to go to the brooder in the coop. We have 30 Guinea Fowl coming in the next couple of weeks. I have 2 Sand-point wells to drive in the ground for the goats and rabbits. Then it is time to get ready for bees in May.

There is always much to do and only so many hours in the day. At least the sun is up until after 7PM now.  That beats 4:30PM. 🙄

If anyone feels the urge to want to see what homesteading is like and come help, let me know  🤣🤣🤣

I am back after a much needed break.  For those that were wondering, I took a mental break for a bit and shut down all of my social media and messaging (with the exception of business stuff) for a while.

My apologies to those trying to reach out, but I had to go dark and do a clean cut for a bit to focus on myself without distractions.  I hope you all understand.

Alright.  Get your minds out of the gutter!!

I was talking about snow.

It is a rare occurrence, where we live here in Minnesota, that there is very little snow on the ground this time of year.  Usually, we have a few feet of it on the ground by now.

Don't misunderstand, most of us up here are happy that we aren't out there shoveling, blowing snow, or plowing.

But it does get a bit more dreary when it is just cold and dark with no white stuff on the ground.

That being said, it is days like today where we just climb back into bed after looking at the fresh blanket on the ground and watch a movie or 2, or maybe have some other activities.  ?

Have a wonderfully kinky Sunday!

That's Right!!!

You Heard Me!!

We Finally Got Her Back!!!

We have been without her since November.

It has been a rough couple of months with out her.

But now she is back and better than ever!!

So as some of you know through conversation.  While it was Deer season up here and I was having no luck in my stand.  I was driving home one evening from the office and in the middle of BFE between a Field on one side, brush on the other, when out of the brush comes this Big Ass Doe that decided it wanted to take on my truck at 65MPH.  The truck took damage but it won that one.

So even though that Doe was big, the Ram prevailed. I have a picture of the Doe if you would like to see that, Message me.  I don't want to post it here.

This was when I was getting ready to get a Re-enforced front end.  Go Figure....

So after getting it to the Body Shop and ordering the exact bumper I wanted, which took 3 weeks due to the holiday's and they are all custom built, I finally today, got my truck back.

I think she is ready to go in the front looking sexy as hell!!

Now time to finish the rest of the modifications.  ?

Bondage and Discipline

Dominant and Submissive

Sadist and Masochist

These are the things that make up BDSM.  Lets put away all of the various kinks and fetishes for a moment.  Those 6 words are what make up this lifestyle.  I know there will be those that disagree, and yes I know that there is a lot of things that fall under the umbrella.  But lets talk about B.D.S.M. versus being kinky.  Being in lifestyle (BDSM) is much more than kinky sex.  Yes, that can be part of it and more often is than not, but being kinky in the bedroom does not mean you are in the lifestyle.  It just means you are kinky in bed.   Lifestyle brings the elements of the 6 words together.  The primary thing is it involves Power Exchange to happen.  This means that 1 person, the Dominant, has been given power over the submissive (With Consent) to some degree.  That degree is discussed and consented to by both parties.  Whether that is a partial PE with just some things, or a Total PE where the Dominant has been given full control.

Kink on the other hand may have aspects of BDSM and visa versa, but it is not BDSM due to the fact of the PE, or lack there of.  You can have the kinks of bondage, spankings, and all the other fun play with your partner(s).  But unless there is a Power Exchange, they are just kinks.  Even if you have one partner that is the "dominant one" in bed, that is still just kinky sex.  (Again, you may disagree and that is okay)

BDSM goes outside of just the bedroom.  It is a lifestyle that we choose.  This is why it is called "Lifestyle".  Our lives are intertwined by the structure of BDSM.  It is the structure of the dynamic that makes it what it is.  The trust from the submissive to hand over certain aspects of their being.  The honor of the Dominant is to do what is right and in the best interests of their submissive in those things.  Just that alone gives you the difference of BDSM vs Kink.

It is perfectly fine to be kinky.  We all are!!  But there is a difference in saying that you are kinky and saying you are in lifestyle.  Please know the difference.  Understand what it is that you are identifying as.  Just because you are kinky does not mean you are lifestyle.

(And that is okay because we will still like you. ?)
