It was just over a year ago that TKP put up a challenge.  It was  a tattoo challenge to show your ink.

At that time I showed my arm band but, I also stated that I would be getting another one for my back.

Here we are, just over a year later and tomorrow I go in for the first of possibly 3 sessions to have my back done.

It took me a while to find the right artist for the job. We sat down about a week ago and went over the concept. He gave my his opinion and asked if he could make changes to the design so that it reflected exactly what I was wanting.  He also has deep knowledge of runes. So he is adding the words I want into the design.

So beginning tomorrow, I will be bring whomever wants to join on this journey.  I know that some who read my acceptance challenge said that they wanted to see it when I got it. So instead, I am going to bring you all through the complete journey. From start to finish with pictures of me on the table.  You can join if you wish.

One of the pillars to our lifestyle is trust. With trust there is honesty, which is another pillar. With honesty, there is respect for one another. when one is not honest with others it breaks trust and shows that there was no respect for others.

One of the core values to our lifestyle “Do No Harm“. This means that in whatever we do that we cause no harm Physically, mentally, or emotionally. Breaking trust causes Harm.  Not being honest causes Harm. When you cause harm, you show a lack of respect to those people.  Not only do you lack respect for those people, but, the lifestyle as a whole.

Samhain is a pagan festival that originated with the ancient Celts and is thought to be the origin of Halloween.

Samhain marked the end of summer and the harvest, and the beginning of winter, which the Celts associated with death. It was also a time when the Celts believed the veil between the living and the dead was thin, allowing spirits to visit the living.  

Samhain was celebrated with feasting, dancing, nature walks, and building altars to honor ancestors. Altars often included apples, pumpkins, or other fall crops to symbolize the end of the harvest, and skulls or skeletons to represent the spirits of the dead.

I see a lot of people here and other sites that are frustrated with not being able to find partners and the such.  (Myself included)

One of the things that I have noticed is the lack of authenticity from people. It is as if who they portray themselves to be online is not who they are in the “real world”.

This is incredibly frustrating to a lot of us that are seeking real connections.

When Hekate and I met and we started talking, I told her straight out that “What you see is what you get!” I did not hide who I was or am with her in the beginning.  I did not hide what I came out of or where my path was leading me.  I did not hide the damaged parts of me and only show her the parts of me that were my best qualities. That would have been a disservice to her and what we started would have been on a flawed foundation.

She did the same. I knew from where it was that she came and what she had been through. The good, the bad, and the ugly.  It is because we were authentic with one another that we are here where we are today. Are we perfect? No!!  But we are perfect for each other. We continue to grow and we continue to be authentic with one another. 
Is it easy, generally yes. Is it scary.  Yes.  Being authentic means that you are also vulnerable. And as many of you may know, that shit can be used against you if you are not with the right person. It can be cause you to shut down and not want to be your true authentic self. But, I digress.

My main point is this. Do not let others frustrate you. Be authentic. Stay true to yourself and show that authenticity to others when talking with them. Let them be authentic with you. It is what builds a foundation into one hell of a great relationship.

And if someone isn’t being authentic with you, then they are not your person(s).

If you are the one not being authentic, then I suggest you take a look in the mirror and do some deep soul work until you can be authentic with yourself and others.

It has begun.

Again we are in the process of vetting a potential person to join our family.  Anyone that knows Hekate and I knows that we are picky about this. The decision is made by both of us, not just her or myself, we both have to be in agreement.

If you have read our blogs, then you know that we have had some rather “interesting” interactions with people so far. Some that have just wanted to see what it would be like before they find their partner in the future. (We are not a try it out couple). To those that were just straight out bat shit crazy. This has been an interesting ride for sure.

We both know that the Universe will bring the right person when it is time. We also know that it will test us. So we are very careful and patient to not push into something that is not right.

If you have never read our posts, I will give you some context. We , Hekate and I, started looking for someone (female) that wants to be part of our family. We are looking for that person that wants to come along side of us to be a partner in a Thruple ( Closed Triad). That means that they would want to live in the same manner that we do. The same lifestyle (not just kink).  We live in a rural area on a 17 acre homestead raising animals and growing our own foods.  We understand that this type of lifestyle is not for everyone which makes it that much more challenging. It is hard work at times but, the joy of creating a self sufficient life with your own 2 hands is well worth it in our opinion.

Recently, a person reached out and asked if we were still looking for a potential parnter. I said yes and explained in detail what we are looking for. She then started talking about what she was looking for and things aligned. This brought me into the initial vetting stage, which Hekate asked me to do with any potential person. After a bit of communication, I told Hekate about it and decided to bring her into the process. Their interactions have been on point so far, both individually and in group chats.  So far it seems to be a fit, however, we are still taking things slow and will not move into the next faze until we are both sure it is the right fit and ALL the boxes are checked. Not only for us but for them also. We shall see how it goes.

Here is a great song I recently discovered.

So I bought a thing or 2 over the last few weeks.  I normally do not get things for myself except for needs.

This time, I got something for me.  Something I have been wanting for a while now and have been waiting for the right time to purchase.

Well, a friend of mine on another site posted what I was looking for.  Not the exact thing I was looking for but close.

I decided to reach out to him and ask him if he would be able to create what it was that I was looking for and he said "Not a Problem!" and then proceeded to give me a bit of a conundrum on how I exactly wanted it.  I could not decide between 2 variations so, I chose both.

They arrived yesterday and I could not be more happy with them.

So I present to you all what I am calling my twin dragons.

Both are at 5' from butt to tip and made of dyed cowhide.  Each has a distinctive feel when being thrown and an incredible sound on impact.  Granted the impacts have not been on Hekate as of yet.  It will be a bit before that happens.  Safety in learning the reach first and foremost. (Practice, Practice, Practice)

These can and will be used in more ways than one.  They make great multipurpose tools!!

So tomorrow is the big day!!!

Hekate and I are going to go meet and bring home 3 lovely ladies. It has been a long time coming.  This is what Hekate has been after for a bit now and we are making it happen tomorrow. 

Before you all start thinking about this wrong, and I know some of you have, the ladies that we are picking up are goats. Yes you read that right. Alpine goats to be specific.  

As we continue to build our Homestead, this is the last of the animals that we are bringing in. At least we are saying it is the last ones.

So now we have 20 chickens, 16 ducks, 20 something rabbits, 3 hives of bees, 4 large dogs, 2 barnyard cats, and a bearded dragon in a pear tree. ?

We get to choose which ones we want to take from this reputable breeder who is 3 hours NW of us. The only thing that we have to get is a male so we can breed and milk.

1 step closer to being 100% self sufficient and we are loving every minute of it.
