The Phoenix - Eros' Rising

"Passion has overthrown tyrants and freed prisoners and slaves. Passion has brought justice where there was savagery. Passion has created freedom where there was nothing but fear. Passion has helped souls rise from the ashes of their horrible lives and build something better, stronger, more beautiful.”

Where have all the educators gone?

I am not talking about those that just offer tidbits of info here and there.  I am talking about people that have a passion for the lifestyle and want to help others on their journeys.

It seems as if we have lost a lot of people that want to help the community.  Share different view points and different styles.

The more I read here and other places, the more I see arguments about who is right and who is wrong.

There is not one way of doing things, as we are all very different Human Beings.

Each dynamic is different.

But yet, we still see all the fighting and name calling as if we are all back in grade school battling it out like it is a popularity contest.

Everyone with their little clicks and groups, thinking they are the best...Blah, Blah, Blah.

How about this....  Instead of fighting and bitching with each other, why not come together in a respectful manner and start discussing the different aspects of Kink and Lifestyle in a way to bring knowledge to others.

Stop being disrespectful to those that have a different view point than yours.

Stop Creating Drama!!!!

Lets start to bring back Educators and make this a place to share our thoughts/experiences and learn from one another instead of turning this site into a bitchfest dumpster fire!

(not talking about those that release what they are feeling or going thru on their blog)

We all, no matter how long you have been in this lifestyle, have things we can share and things we can learn from each other.  And it can be done in an adult manner.  Lets do better.

K y i v{Walking} - Is it just us old people who remember when experts were not made by watching TicTok?
I see so many experts after 3 - 30 second videos. Not just Lifestyle but things like Master electricians....what could go wrong?

ErosRising(dom male){Hekate}Verified Account - LMAO - I think that it is my friend. Seems like people learn a few catch phrases and *boom* they are an expert. What they don't realize is how many layers there are within this lifestyle. The rabbit hole goes deeper than one can imagine if you really look. I know I am still learning new and interesting things all the time and I am not by any stretch "new" to this lifestyle.

fluffypoppet(sub female){Protected}Verified Account - I’m too new to know what it used to be like. I’ve had many interests and points of curiosity sparked by TikTok. I wouldn’t have even explored the lifestyle if I hadn’t hit TikTok. But, I don’t rely on any single educator. I’m all over the place. Blogs, Books, Podcasts, Articles… so many places to learn for those passionate about the lifestyle. Sometimes I even find old school educators. My experience is limited, but my lust for learning is nearly limitless. As a new sub I struggled to find the information I needed. So I started my blog to log things I learned as I learned them… but I am by no means an expert. Still constantly seeking knowledge. So I second the request for more educators!

ErosRising(dom male){Hekate}Verified Account - TikTok and YouTube can provide valuable information. You just have to watch who is talking and what they are talking about. Always do the research, especially if something doesn’t sit right. It can be difficult for people at first to determine if someone is speaking from a point of knowledge and experience or from someone with no real knowledge and are using BDSM and kink as a way to be predatory. This is why it is good to know the basic pillars of our lifestyle. These are just the universal things that we all practice in lifestyle. From the basics, it then starts to diversify and and spread from there. As I said, I am by no means new to the lifestyle, but I am still learning new things because I have an open mind and can have true conversations about things I don’t know. Any expert would say the same. (Not saying I am an expert). They to are always learning and growing. Never trust anyone that says they know it all or think there is only one way, because they don’t and there isn’t.

Hekate He Near(switch female){Eros}Verified Account - The world at large is becoming far too predatory. People will use whatever they can for sheep's clothing, and a lot of it is wearing thin. It's not sustainable. I'm so glad to be carving out a little slice of self-sustained lifestyle heaven here with you. ❤️❤️❤️

Satindragon{Not Lookin} - Once upon a time there were several here who wrote some great educational blogs. We even had civil discussions on our different opinions. Then we were flooded by those whose only desire was to be disrespectful and cause chaos. When that happened the educators either left or went silent.

Would love to see more informational blogs without all the rhetoric.

K y i v{Walking} - Satin, that is getting very close to "those were the days" ???

Bunnie - Those *were* the days here once upon a time. I’m just grateful to have been able to experience that.

Satindragon{Not Lookin} - Me too!

Bunnie - I’m a fan of the sharing of knowledge, regardless of whether people are educators or not. I think what is often overlooked is (a skill perhaps?), discernment. Read everything. Listen to everything you’re told. And then *research it for yourself.* There can be pearls of wisdom shared through experience that we may not find in the polished outcomes of those who write from a perspective of “peer review.” Especially in this way of life. So I tend to read everything, but “take it with a grain of salt,” rather than at face value. That way I can form my own ideas and knowledge, and when put into practice, my own wisdom.
