The Phoenix - Eros' Rising

"Passion has overthrown tyrants and freed prisoners and slaves. Passion has brought justice where there was savagery. Passion has created freedom where there was nothing but fear. Passion has helped souls rise from the ashes of their horrible lives and build something better, stronger, more beautiful.”

Okay, here is a rant / open discussion.

How many of you feel that if you are going to label yourself as an educator that you should actually have experience in what it is you are talking about?

For me, every educator that I have ever met has only spoken on things that they actually participate in. Breath Play, Shabari, different types of edge play, etc.

Even those that I follow who write, write from a place of actual life experiences. Thank you for being you and citing your references when used.

Now we have people calling themselves an “Educator” and the only thing they do is go to a website and copy and paste what they find. They are even getting sneaky and changing some words or a sentence here in there and calling it theirs.
Here is what the community says to you.

WE SEE YOU.

WE SEE WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

YOU’RE A FAKE.

SHAME ON YOU!!!

We are not stupid. You may be able to fool some people but, not all of us.

djinni(dom female){smplylaura} - You took the words out of my mouth! Your last post regarding this got a day of citation which has since been abandoned. Thank you again for calling out the BS! This is nothing but a “look at me” action by this person. Thank you again.

(Original comment deleted for a mistake in my haste to post).

ErosRising(dom male){Hekate} - Haha. I have so done that. I removed your deleted. 😁
And yes, it is nothing more than what you stated.

Thank you.

jkillaaa(sub female) - Personally, I like reading blogs that are based off of the writer’s actual experience.

Outside of that, you’re (not you personally, “you” in a general sense) just googling shit. I can do that by myself.

ErosRising(dom male){Hekate} - Same. I want to know the personal experiences. (Not graphic details mind you).
Anyone can google shit all day long. And like in my other post, cite it. There is nothing wrong with saying “Hey, I found this by this person on here and I wanted to share.” That is totally different then making a post and pretending that your the one that wrote. (You in general, not you you).
Thank you.

Sweet Ginger(sub female){} - Unfortunately, there's a lot of posturing. The best thing is to ask questions, see if there are inconsistencies and ask about ones knowledge and experience.

ErosRising(dom male){Hekate} - Great comment. Also a good thing is references.

Hekate He Near(switch female){Eros} - Also -if you are using AI/CHATGPT to write your posts-know that by definition that content is scraped (stolen) from other people's online content. These are people who have spent buku bucks and time getting educated, licensed, and experienced to share their expertise. It is very crappy to take their work and pass it off as yours. It can also get you in over your head-if you present yourself as an expert that's what your partners will expect. I am a beginner. I am learning. I am smart with many great qualities, but I am just beginning this journey with Eros and drinking in the education, going to events, meeting people...I don't present myself as an educator for that reason.

LongerJohnny(dom male) - I don't know anything, I have no idea what I'm talking about, and I am well-educated only in the art of avoiding being an educator. Seriously, ignore me.
Nevertheless, this weekend I and my dirty, naked whore were reading the stuff in question just laughing our asses off at all the wtf-ness. Going from one post to the next, it was so silly that we just had to consume all of it. We started with the first, kept going, then suddenly...
...it was as if we were standing in front of a collection of used glass jars, each filled with yellowish liquid and a small, misshapen lump of some unidentifiable fleshy material. There was a faint smell of formaldehyde and a sticker on the front of each container that read "body parts: mostly human". Transfixed, we were unable to look away, hoping that if we looked closely enough we might eventually find something resembling real life; anything we could actually make sense of.
We didn't, In part because there wasn't anything, but mostly because of all the laughing and the not being able to take any of it seriously and all the wtf-ness.
We even came up with some funny, snidey comments that we would not have actually posted but were funny to make to each other anyway.
Hilarious.

alawey(sub female){(OWNED BY } - I for have NEVER thought of myself as a educator. I just mainly share what's on my heart.

I know that I have Google a bunch of stuff over time here but mainly to understand something for my own knowledge. Though there are times in the past I have done so to try to have a educated discussion with someone but I ALWAYS let them know where I found what I'm speaking of or asking about. But my blog s have shard links of videos I found interesting or helpful.
But again they are mostly lead by my heart and something I have deal with.

So PLEASE don't think of me as such.
( shame on those that search and state it as their own.

They can/will end up hurting someone. * just my thoughts on it *)

SirsBabyDoll(sub female){Pizza+☕} - Alawey, you and I have not always been on the best of terms, HOWEVER, even *I* can recognize that you DO cite your sources and personally, I WOULD consider you an educator. You share what you know and you state when you have no experience in it. That is an honorable thing and I applaud you for it.

ErosRising(dom male){Hekate} - Again, sharing something we found in a search is fine, as long as the credit is given to the person that created it. That is their intellectual property. They worked hard to create it. When someone takes it and posts it as if they created it with no credit to the original poster, that is theft and makes the person that did it a thief.
Your posts I have always enjoyed because you come at them with your personal experience. They are 100% you. And you always say I found this here or that there.
Great comment

Sweetlydepraved(masochist female){I Guess } - I put that blog in hide the first day.

djinni(dom female){smplylaura} - That is brilliant and never realized I could do that. The rapid fire spamming makes me furious. The info is fine, albeit gleaned and not cited from other sources, but the back to back posts and then following that up with a forum post makes me want to scream.

Sweetlydepraved(masochist female){I Guess } - Agreed!

djinni(dom female){smplylaura} - Oddly enough I think doing the forum posts is good, as it generates engagement. But the blog…. It’s insane and almost like screaming into the void. No one engages or cares.

ErosRising(dom male){Hekate} - Believe it or not, there is engagement in the blogs. I personally like them better. But that is just me. And me just being me, I always try and read the comments left and reply to them. (I am human though so, I miss 1 or 2 on occasion.)
Forums are good too because some like that style. They, in my opinion, are great for asking questions on things we don’t know. Blogs let us share what we do know with others. Both let’s us engage.
Great discussion!!!
