Rose's Thorns.

A general pondering.
3 years ago. January 13, 2021 at 6:27โ€ฏAM

So things have been odd for a while in many places but i didn't expect it to be above my door..... litterly. A box with wiring has magically appeared above every residents door frame in my building.

Which means its the building management company a company that no one can find an office for.

Its kinda creepy here. I really hope its not to keep an eye on internet with me visiting here.

Shouldn't be happening but... can you imagine the conversation of saying why you want to opt out (if it's even possible)

'I erm visit a site on the internet' ..   awkward

Lion(dom male){Hazel Eyes} - Not sure what the box looks like. If it's a 4x4 electrical box with a black, white, and green wire then they could be putting in lights. Not sure without pictures. Oh, way more easier methods of checking your site history than running electrical. Hopefully nothing to complicated. Take care. ๐Ÿ˜

rosethorn(sub female) - Thanks, there is your right but i do try and be as sensible as i can. Its a phone wire like the internet cables with a green plastic thing in the middle and what looks like space for a screen or monitor.... its erm ... creepy

Little moon(sub female){Not lookin} - Also make use of incognito and I think there's a setting that erases it doesn't log browser history, although that means manually logging in each time. If they dig past that then there's not really much you can do offhand butt yeah it's never nice to wonder if your privacy is being violated, hoping it's lights!

rosethorn(sub female) - Thanks....i wish it was. Its above every flat door in the building. One of the weirdest things I've ever seen

HGB(sub female){Scottish M} - Hoping it's lights or smoke detectors. Can you call and ask?
Sir Don(dom male) - It is more than likely a light or alarm of some sort fire or smoke detection
3 years ago
rosethorn(sub female) - Its not a light or alarm they are already in each place. This is in the privately owned public areas of the building so its the private management company. Because its in their property rather than in the flat they legally own the data and can sell it. Its a company that im 100% sure is a shell company as it just has a po box, no head office, no phone number took the local council months to find a human to talk too and even that was don't contact us.

Little moon(sub female){Not lookin} - Spill something on it and then whoever shows up to investigate get their contact info, I'm sure there's a plausible way to wet it without it traceable.. Or magnets ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคจif it's strong enough it should fuck it right up

rosethorn(sub female) - Magnets will fuck it up ... haha x

Little moon(sub female){Not lookin} - Since no one cna tell you who owns it they can hardly argue that it's destruction of private property, and they'd need to prove you did it too, which means they'd have to have video evidence, which means violation of your privacy.

rosethorn(sub female) - Everything is sub contracted then sub contracted again and again. When someone does turn up they usually have an email with the company name on it giving them a todo list and they have been paid. Still amazes me how people never seem to ask why but do it anyway. Three different contractors no one does it all. Sigh

Lion(dom male){Hazel Eyes} - Make sure you keep us updated on what's going on. You have my curiosity peeked. ๐Ÿ˜ณ big hug my friend.๐Ÿ˜Š

rosethorn(sub female) - Thanks, i think every time data protection is brought in they think it works but they don't actually understand how technology works so it leaves massive loopholes like the fact my building management can now seemingly mine my data without my permission because its in a public space in the building thats privately owned.

Sir Don(dom male) - Can't you secure your connection?
rosethorn(sub female) - I can vpn and encrypt but honestly i really shouldn't have to

rosethorn(sub female) - Also im still learning and not everyone can... its above every single flat doorway... its bizarre. Renting law or lack of it also means i can't even hang a picture up without fines from 'management companies' ..... so .. yeah

Lion(dom male){Hazel Eyes} - Now that sucks, big hug my friend. โค

rosethorn(sub female) - Thanks x

rosethorn(sub female) - Laws just super outdated as in pre ww2 and 70s because no one really rented for generations.... thats why we get called generation rent.... can't hang pictures up or paint walls but this apparently is fine

EnglishGentleman(dom male) - Hi Rose, don't worry, "they" won't be monitoring your Internet. To do so you wouldn't put a box outside each flat. It would be illegal to do so without your consent. This isn't China...yet. Besides, "they" don't need to sell your Internet use, that's done by cookies and each site has differing requirements and restrictions. Anything Facebook/twitter related including WhatsApp will monitor your contacts etc and sell to Cambridge analytica or the like who will be able to work out your mood, if you had sex last night etc. Which is in turn sold to Russia and China who have a vested interest in subverting elections via targeted fake news distribution. Its how we got brexit. But that doesn't need a box outside your flat. Take a picture and upload it here. It's possibly some sort of environmental monitoring. If you have no contact details of the management company, try your agent or landlord direct.

Sir Don(dom male) - @EnglishGentleman.
Great advice thanks for chiming in. Lol just little humor

rosethorn(sub female) - Thanks to be honest i think thats how we have had division created in general by everyone. When someone sees a poster they know its advertising but they don't realise how algorithms and internet work at all because its not noted anywhere. Its a new form of advertising. I know its not legal but people can't afford lawyers and this company has already broken three other laws i know of including people stuck in an actual lift and fire regulations. It doesn't matter if its illegal if they can't contact the company and people can't afford lawyers. I know cookies do that which is why im concerned because why else would they put it up?

rosethorn(sub female) - People everywhere can get stuck in information feedback loops on pretty much everything.... so i don't believe it's affected one side and not the other. My point being it affects every individual be it topics og geography science or anything else and in terms of bdsm can lead to some god awful unsafe advice where unfortunately people genuinely believe its accurate and safe teach it to others and there are awful injuries that really do affect people. But its hard to acknowledge because even if you do go back and look at the information again, your given the same advice again but from a different source because of the algorithm.
So you think well i checked it was safe and all these places are saying its safe yet people are getting hurt and you can't understand why. So after a few times you can think well i have my sources so actually it must be the individual doing it wrong .... but its more than just one or two injured. That becomes difficult to acknowledge, especially if you feel a responsibility to those people, of course you don't want to cause injury even by accident but here is the thing its not the person its often the data collection and algorithm at fault because its shown that person a bad example (which it can't tell) then thinks thats what your interested in so finds more and more and more of the same thing meanwhile your pulling your hair out going 'but im doing it the correct way'. This is why i suggest anatomy books as a must read or even draw arteries and nerves on the person your practising rope with. You can then spot the error or any bad information but the worse it gets the harder it can be to admit because your stuck in matrix of an algorithm loop back.
