In 2009-2010 I did one year of Grad school in Counseling and Art Therapy. These are a few of the techniques that we used to help patients get a handle on their lives. Perhaps it will help someone here who needs it. BTW, your life doesn't have to be falling apart to use these techniques. You may want to do one just to get an idea of where you're headed and how far you've come for your own encouragement. Doms/Dommes might want to have their sub do one to see what they are thinking and learn more about them.
Below was actually an assignment given to the ladies in a drug rehab at my first clinical location. They were to depict their current situation on the left of the bridge, and then what they hoped their situation would turn out like on the right side of the bridge. It's akin to a timeline. Mine is leaving conflict, uncertainty, fear, and the past clutching at me, and walking into calm, hope, and a solid future, etc.
