lambsone's thoughts

Just things I think about or feel from time to time either from experience or observation.

Recently I baked brownies for a church event and decided to add colorful sprinkles to the surface. When they came out of the oven and had cooled off, I cut out Christmas tree shapes via a cookie cutter I had, thinking it would be something different from the standard square or rectangle shapes. I stacked them in a bowl and set it on the side of the sink. Then I turned my back for a few seconds to check on something cooking on the stove. When I turned around I saw the Brownie bowl laying upside down on the floor. Of course it couldn't have fallen face up because that wouldn't follow Murphy's Law. Needless to say, I had to throw them out. That was my first attempt at holiday baking for this year. I'm not sure I'll make any more attempts. I definitely didn't gain any Brownie points with that attempt.

lambsoneVerified Account - I've never done the cookie cutter thing before with brownies and wasn't sure if it would work. I was happy that it did.
