PappaBear - Absolutely not... the Vanilla world may look at things like spankings and digging as only a punishment, but if the bottom enjoys it? That’s a reward. That’s why conversation and communication are vital. If the person enjoys alone time then the silent treatment may be rewarding behavior you would like to see changed. Just like if someone dislikes chocolate (yes, some don’t like chocolate, hard to believe I know) and you give them chocolate as a reward, then you’re sending the wrong message. If you want to explore figging (and I encourage you to do so) then approach it as an exploration and learning experience. Then have that discussion with your top and decide if it’s something you both want to add to your play. Whether it’s a reward or punishment or maybe something in the middle is a personal choice for you two to make. I know of two dynamics where it is a welcome reward and one where it is a punishment and one where it’s kind of a middle ground. But don’t let anyone color your picture OR only allow someone to color your picture for you... it’s up to you. ;)

SummerHeat - History Back in the Victorian Era in the 1800's-1890's figging was typically used as a form of punishment. Figging is typically where a ginger root will be prepared and inserted anally, it can be a real attention getter as well as prevent flinching during a spanking. Select a nice large piece of fresh ginger, file down to rounded point, (for insertion), leave the the other end as a large knob, so ginger will not be sucked into anus. Ginger also has many health benefits.
