Punch your neighbor in the face!

el oh el

But seriously, what do you like about your neighbor?

what do you hate about your neighbor?

any advice on how to deal with a bad neighbor?

do share . . .

Sincerely, Wits end

HurtSoGood - I don’t know that there’s much I like about my neighbor. He is clearly on drugs and stands outside in his yard screeching and hollering for hours on end at all hours of the day and night. πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€” I suppose I can like the fact that other than disrupting the quiet, he doesn’t actually DO anything to my household.

HurtSoGood - As for advice, we generally do our best to ignore it. If it can’t be ignored then that changes things.

Sweet Ginger(sub female){βš“ } - Having neighbor issues, Jack? My favorite neighbors are those I never know they're around, nice and quiet. Allowing me to be in my inner peace.. my home should be a place I want to come "home" to not flee from.

I agree Ms Ginger - unfortunally, one does not see the true nature of the neighborhood until one actually lives there. My neighbor is a sociopath and drug addict - and it is getting progressively worse. Home is no longer a place I wish to be πŸ˜”

Sweet Ginger(sub female){βš“ } - Yes, unfortunately so..sorry to hear... I've had difficult neighbors so I hear ya!
I currently have one neighbor, I call them the "annoying family:, the dog barks for an hour because someone walked by, the boy plays off key on his flute and the guy appeared to be trying to look through my window as he casually walked by, several times a day, until I said something to his wife about it.. now when I hear them I shut my window, no more annoying family. Luckily for me I'm able to tune them out with shutting my window.

B L O N D I E(sub female) - In my neighborhood, everyone keeps to themselves. When new people move in, they don't introduce themselves or even make eye contact. It's eerie because the rest of my town is very friendly and courteous. In the nine years I've been living here, I've made friends with the couple two doors down. They know and like my kids and we talk when we see each other outside. Just recently, an older lady bought the house next door and we have chattered several times. Her granddaughter sometimes comes to visit and plays with my daughter, but those two neighbors are the exceptions. There is a limit to how private and reclusive a neighborhood can be before it becomes weird and unsettling.

SouthernFire(sub female) - I truly dislike my neighbors on both sides on one side of the street. Everyone else on the block is chill. Had to upgrade security to include to unfriendly (to strangers) k9's and several security cameras. Small town benefit the local officer likes the quiet and has no problem verbally telling people off who cause trouble or caught on camera doing the wrong thing.

This guy isnt really doing anything I could do something about, but constantly pushing the line - like a fly that wont stop landing on you - and he's truly not playing with a full deck, if you know what I mean. Now arm said neighbor with a 12 guage and you have a bad ending waiting to happen

SouthernFire(sub female) - Cameras can help. If he is mentally unstable, having video evidence of said behavior could be what is needed to create a paper trail to get said person the help they need. Never wait for the bad or worst to happen before doing something. Do Not provoke. But if neighbor does things on their own, it may help if you can show it.

Blondie(sub female){Collared} - I am fortunate to like my neighbors. The ones across the street came to our aid the other night. We were getting TP’d. The neighbors were enjoying watching that (because it’s fun to do and somewhat harmless) until the kids began to smash cans of beans on the driveway to open them up and then spread them on car window and the front door. The neighbors came across the street and stopped the kids and then knocked on the door to tell us.

I live in a small town and neighbors look out for each other, but also kind of keep to themselves. It’s a good mix here. 😁

Yikes!) 😳
Kids can often be an even bigger problem because they are "above the law" so to speak. And once you tip the scale, you are their new something to do.
Hope that all calms down for you with the witching season just around the corner πŸ™

sexycurves(switch female) - I honestly don't know who my neighbours are. I don't know their names, where they work etc. I know them by face, but that's it.

Sasa(dom female) - I'm so sorry you have trouble with a drug addict. You can never predict what will happen to them next or what they will do. Stay away is easy to say, but I hope you can..
I only have to deal with genZ next to me and was glad I only had to say once that they need to turn their music down. My heart bleeds to see the destroyed garden... there lived an old couple and he loved every plant. It is now a desert, but that's their life. Be safe

Sasa(dom female) - The wost thing is if those creeps start to live between your ears even if they are calm.

It can be difficult indeed Ms Sasa, and you are right, very unpredictable. I always just keep to myself and am often not home.
I wish you peace in your place πŸ™πŸ™‚πŸŒΉ
