M/s 24/7

4 years ago. October 5, 2019 at 3:56 AM

Today we bought all my clothes for the Bear competition. It was surreal

Zazzle.com has some amazing BDSM shirts. I was like a kid in a candy store!!!

We ordered 2 pairs of jeans, a belt, 3 shirts, and a bra.

Now all I need is a pair of shoes and to wait for my piece's to be made.

This year they are doing interview.

Im prepping like mad on leather bear history.

Trying to study the judges- that is proving difficult.

Where I am stuck is my 90 second speech.

Its my platform.

Last year I spoke about "everyone has a right to a place at the community table- who do you invite to yours?"

This year-- I'm thinking : "allowing yourself to  take up space"

But, im still thinking.

I watch Susan Boyle and Jonathan Antoine on Britains Got Talent. Because it inspires me. How they are perceived versus what they could actually do.

I ask people to give me pop questions. Thats a biggie. Being prepared to answer questions on the  fly.

I am already excited!!!

SchrodingersDinosaur(switch female) - An obvious one perhaps...what drew you to the Bear/ cub Lifestyle and how is your experience different or the same as a male Dominant's? Just a potential question for you to ponder and prep for...(although would be interesting to see your response if you chose to share here!).

MasterBear(other butch) - Love this.

What drew me?

When I heard the word Bear as an identity it was a visceral connection. It was like leather dyke and butch. Overtime I embraced it fully in my heart and now I revel in it.

A male Dominant experience vs mine:

Everyones experience is extremely unique. Not only is my experience unique because I am a cis gendered woman, but because I am me. My experience is different from male identified peoples, its also different from other female identified people. That is the joy of BDSM.

SchrodingersDinosaur(switch female) - Oh, and a vote for your speech topic. I think it ties in nicely with the M/s for the Rest of Us platform you stand for. Almost sounds like it's a natural continuation from your last speech. Everyone has the right to be as they choose in the Lifestyle but you have to allow yourself acceptance before anyone else can.
