Master and the Sub

4 years ago. May 29, 2020 at 11:39 AM

So Hazel always says when it rains, not the kinda wet I want to be, love this woman. So here in our lovely state where we live it's been raining most of the last 2 weeks, put a damper on bike riding, outdoor projects, bbq's,ect. So as I write this my view of rain is I don't want anymore for quite some time. Last night I go down stairs to get the laundry, always like to have things done before Hazel gets home so we can visit for awhile. Go to get the clothes out of the dryer and see water on the floor, where did that come from, look around thinking the washer is leaking, nope, turn around and see my footprints in the carpet by the stairs. Oh shit, start walking through the basement, squish, squish, squish, well fuck not what I wanted at 11:30 pm. Let me explain, almost 20 years ago this happened, constant rain over several days without  a break causes the water to come over the top of the foundation and flood the basement. So I get out my trusted Bissell carpet cleaner and proceed to start sucking up water, anybody that owns one knows the tank only holds about a gallon of water then you dump it and start again. Well I finished at 4 am with still slightly damp carpets, need to get a box fan or 2 to help dry up the rest. Hazel is a trooper, got home and moved all her yarn thankfully none of it got wet, moved some boxes so I could clean. We didn't get to see much of each other last night or this morning but I can whole heartedly agree with her only way I want to be wet is her getting me wet. Oh and my trusted Bissell, my friend through all of this is now RIP. It was 20 years old and worked it's ass off to save my ass. Here's praying for bright beautiful sunshine today. Love to all Lion.💖🦁

Hazel Eyes(sub female){Lion} - Yes, the amount of yarn I have could house a warehouse....I can easily say about $2000 worth of it there...I was extremely lucky none of it was ruined..

SirsBabyDoll(sub female){Pizza+☕} - Girl! I know! Even if it's just crappy acrylic, that's alot of yarn....if it's crappy wool, less yarn, still expensive ..if it's LYS yarn....... HOLY CRAP!!!!!

Hazel Eyes(sub female){Lion} - Some of it is Red heart, Lion Bran, I LTY, more of the merino and silk specialty yarn that I picked up here and there from a specific yarn store i always went to $10-20 a pop on just 75 or a little more on yardage

Literate Lycan(dom male) - Last year I was away for a weekend. I have an apartment in one city/state that I reside in away from my home - it’s a basement apartment in a very nice house. Needless to say, during the weekend I was away, it rained incessantly and the gutter collapsed, spilling water directly down through the window into my bedroom. Upon returning there was at least an inch of standing water. I immediately applied Shop Vac Super Powers (and my land lady dove in with towels and such) to suck up as much water as possible. I put fans on the carpet and used Dehumidifiers for the next few days, but I can honestly say I feel your pain.

Hazel Eyes(sub female){Lion} - Ugh that must have been a MESS!!! Renters insurance would cover damage if any on your end. I hope it didnt hurt anything or even cause any damage to the house e

Hazel Eyes(sub female){Lion} - Aww you don’t want anymore rain for awhile? Why not? LOL...Guess I need to go out naked...I was told that rain are the laugh tears of Mother Nature...she must have seen something beyond hilarious yesterday, like a naked couple having sex outside and the woman probably looked down and said “Is that all you got?”

Satindragon{Not Lookin} - Lol the wrath of Mother Nature. When I lived in another home if it rained a few days it would seep in through the concrete blocks. Can’t tell you how many layers of sealant was on those blocks. Very familiar with late night dates with the shop vac.

Glad the Bissell held up until you were done. 🤗

Lion(dom male){Hazel Eyes} - I wrote Bissell an email to tell them how happy I was after 20 years of service with their product and they are going to give me 20 percent off a new machine. Time to go shopping incase it happens again.

propertyforuse(sub female) - It rained here from around March til a couple of weeks ago 4 days out of the week and it always seemed to be storming on weekends. Its finally starting to clear up and be sunny but we still have some super cloudy days where I'm just like "ughhhh, for the love of the gods, STOP RAINING!!!"

LOL

propertyforuse(sub female) - Ugh, there's no way to edit my last comment. I hit post before I was finished.

That sucks about your basement flooding. I know a bunch of people that have had that happen and it sucked cause they lost a lot of stuff. Thankfully Hazel was able to rescue her yarn....I crochet, trust me, if I lost my yarn, I'd be devastated. Or any of my arts and crafts stuff to be honest. I have hundreds of dollars worth of various stuff.

And R.I.P. to your Bissell. So sad to lose something like that. :(

Hazel Eyes(sub female){Lion} - I crochet as well, and some other crafts...Where i live most of my life was on the east coast, so I am used to the heavy hurricane type rain. It only lasted a day here, which was kinda a culture shock since I am use to seeing it last for days, weeks sometimes months at a time....i am glad it stopped where you are and able to see the sun again! Hope you had a wonderful weekend
