She wonders through a sandy desert. She makes it through the hot sand. She has only water that she can carry. She doesn't know where she's going. She doesn't know if there's an end in sight. She fantasizes about someone sweeping her off her feet and rescuing her. Would anyone come and rescue her? She's weary and tired. She has been walking for days. She watches the sun come up, and the sun go down. Finding shade where she can along her journey has been a challenge. The hot scorching sun burns her skin as she continues to walk to the desert. She begins to fill the heat on her brain. She prays someone will find her or she will find another human being in the next few miles before she falls to her feet.
The journey she's on is self-discovery you see. She has met a lot of people on the way, some very nice and encouraging and some not so nice. She dredges on as the sand fills her shoes. Her mouth is so dry there is no spit left in it. She takes a sip from her canteen. She wipes the sweat off of her forehead. As she lifts her head up she notices in the far a structure, a building, or something She wants to know what it is so she moves closer. As the image comes clear to her eyes she notices it's a small hut in the desert. Her feet begin to drag a little faster, her step becomes a little quicker. As she approaches the structure someone comes out to welcome her. He says hello there have you been on your journey long You look like you can use some rest. He says please come in rest your wary feet.
He begins to help her remove her shoes as he fills up a bucket with cool water. He hands her a jug of fresh cold water to quench her thirst. He sits her things down on the floor next to the chair where she sits. She collapsed in the chair just as she sat down. He begins to cool off her feet that are so blistered and hot they bleed. It feels so good just to be taken care of after I thought there was no end to this journey.
He helps her, cleans off her feet, and lays her down. She exhales a deep breath, a deep sigh of relief. He takes care of her until she falls fast asleep in his arms. She feels a sense of home with him. She feels safe, comfortable, and wants to rest her wary eyes for just a moment.
Little did she know that that moment in that desert on that day in that hour she would fall in love with the man who saved her. She was unaware what her journey was, But when she saw him and saw what he offered her, she never left.
