Yesterday my toddler had allergy testing done due to a massive hives outbreak that has been going on for months. Made the appointment to be seen back in March and of course the first available was yesterday. Come to find out my toddler is extremely allergic to my 4 cats. The allergy scale goes from 0-4. 0 being no reaction and 4 being an extreme reaction. Well I own 3 cats... and guess what came back as a greater than 4 reaction.... that's right you've guessed it.... a cat allergy... my toddler is extremely allergic to my cats and om devastated. So now I'm revoking them. The kittens will be going back to the women I adopted them from and the older one I'm hoping this lead follows through. I'm just so heart broken about it but have to do what's best for my toddler.

TheAnt(dom male) - PB,
I was raised with cats and now other than Kitty, I cant be around them for even a short time. It really isn't fair. But you are right you gotta do what's right for the children.

Bunnie - Oh I’m sorry to hear, that really sucks. I know some of us see our fur babies as our babies too, so although obviously you’d do what’s best for your baby, I can understand how difficult it still would be. I’m sure you’ll find them places where they’ll get just as much love though. *hugs*

Justme26 - Sorry if I am sounding unsympathetic, and I am sure you have thought of this (but just incase): Clean / hoover very thourely, if there is any cats hear anywhere then he will still get a reaction. You miss cats at first but you get used to it.

Pandabear(sub female) - I have luckily found them all good homes so they will all be gone by the weekend. Once they are gone her room is getting a total wipe down including replacing her carpet with hardwood. Than I'll be doing the entire house an extreme deep clean.

Master C's toy(sub female){Chevy} - I have a little human that lives with me during the weekdays and she wanted a kitty. She has rarely ever been around cats. So we went to humane society and got a cute little tabby. Two days later she was covered, head to toe in hives. It started in her creases so thought it was eczema. But she woke and every inch of her was red. Away we went to the doc. Got a shot and allergy pills that she now takes daily. So the cute little kitty went back to the humane society. Washed all the blankets and anything that the cat may have shed on. But it wasn't enough. I used an upholstery steamer and did almost every inch of the house.
It's sad that you had to give up the kitties when I'm sure your little one enjoyed them.
Now my little human has fish...lol

Pandabear(sub female) - I'm just so happy she isn't allergic to dogs too. Or else I would have broke even more. And that's exactly how my toddler started out! Her eczema flared up really bad than spread all over into hives.
