Firecracker Diaries - A combination of stories, random thoughts and an appreciation log of life with Daddy

I'm a owned and collared. The journey I have been on with Daddy is amazing...and only gets better! This is my daily entries of what is going on in my head and stories of all the things I’m learning with Daddy!

Submissive - Someone who submits to a dominant person in a BDSM relationship or scene. Submissive can be shortened to sub.

There is so much more to this word and its meaning than what I found here. There is so much more behind it than most people would understand. I think that some that don't understand a submissive or how they are would look at then as the weaker one in a relationship. That since you are consenting to the dominance of your partner that it might make you weak. I think that a submissive is extremity strong... and has much more courage than they can even admit to themselves. Any Dom that's worth their weight would know this and respect this from their submissive... and cherish that they submitted to them.

Slave -  A person who gives up total control of one or more parts of their life to a master.

Can you be a slave and a submissive? Are you one in the same? I always had the idea in my head that a submissive was a step or two above a slave. I have no idea why... but I did. Everything I read about the two doesn't show that distinction at all. I would really like to hear what everyone else think about the two...

Scene  - The actual BDSM activities or encounters that take place are known as a scene.

I have never actually called our encounters a scene. I have called them sessions or play time. The word scene sounds very one act play ish...if that makes sense. I guess there might be a time where we set up a scene... but for me its been sessions. Maybe its because I feel like I'm still learning half of the time...

Soft Limits - A limit that’s more flexible than a hard limit. It might be an act that a person is hesitant to perform but may be willing to try.

Is it acceptable to be open to trying new things and then liking part of it but not all of it? It can be very confusing to feel like you want to be open to everything but when it comes down to it... maybe some it is a little much at the time... but next time is perfectly OK?

Safe Word - An agreed upon word or phrase that a bottom, sub, or slave can say during a scene to stop the activity or session immediately. Some common safe words are “red,” “red light,” “pineapple,” and “banana.”

I'm curious what safe words are out there? How do you remember your safe word if you have never had to use it... but you all of a sudden you need to use it... but you can't remember the damn word!!! How often do you have to use it? As for me...I've never had to use our word... but I have gotten close.

Tell me your safe word stories...

I look at so many blogs. Some for the interest in whatever topic. Some because I'm curious about what that particular person had to say. Some because I'm noisy and just want to see why anyone would blog about such a thing. Either way I'm becoming more curious to find out how some of these people make money doing it!

How in the world does a blog about lip stick become a multi million dollars business! Why can't I make millions of dollars writing about my wonderful submissive life? Or the daily view of a submissive in a vanilla world?

Seriously... someone help me!!

Safe, Sane, and Consensual (SSC) - This phrase describes what the BDSM community considers ethical behavior. Kink enthusiasts stress that activities must always be safe, sane, and consensual.

Im so glad my Daddy has always talked to me about everything before it happens. Being new to the lifestyle there is alot I don't know and had misconceptions about a lot. Him taking the time to make sure I understood and let me make my choice if I was ready or not is so important.

Sadist - A person who enjoys or becomes sexually aroused by inflicting pain or humiliation on someone else.

I personally don't understand part of this definition. I can understand the pain part... but I don't understand the humiliation side of it. I would really like to understand this portion. Could someone explain to me how being humiliated is gratifing? I'm not judging... its just because too me this is horrible for my self esteem. I can barely stand the degrading thoughts in my head much less coming from someone else.

Sadism and Masochism - This subset of BDSM involves inflicting pain or humiliation for the purpose of pleasure or sexual gratification.

After Daddy and I had been together for over 6 months is when he introduced me to pain mixed with pleasure. I had no experience we with it before him. To say that I was nervous the first time is an understatement. I had no idea how I was going to react. My exposure to pain was not a good experience up to that point.. so there was some apprehension.

Thank God Daddy talked with me at length before he introduced it during one of our sessions. He explained everything to me. Told me exactly what he was going to do so I could be prepared. I'm still surprised at how much I enjoyed it.

Ever since then he has steady added more. I still enjoy every second of the mixture. I enjoy the after care even more.

I don't tho think I would enjoy being humiliated... as there are way to many scars from being humiliated... and my self-esteem is still fragile at times.

Role Play - When one or more people take on a different identity during a scene. Examples may include teacher-student, doctor-patient, or boss-employee role plays.

I have no partner involved experience with this... but I could be into it. The reason I say that I have no partner involved experience is I have rule played in my head before! Back when I was single and enjoyed the pleasures of myself...I was all kinds of things in my head... and the partner in my head was always different too.

Do you like to role play? What's your favorite scene to play? How do you introduce it as an idea to your Master? How do you start?
